Stratos was the most amazing host! He welcomed us so warmly, showed us around the apartment, had a welcome basket full of coffee tea, items for breakfast, etc., and was very organized, with a book of excellent recommendations and a map ready for us to explore the city. The apartment itself was cozy and had everything we needed, including a very efficient washing machine, from which clothes emerged almost dry. During our vacation, we stayed at a variety of hotels and apartments, large and small, and Uni Island was our favourite. It was just 5 minutes from city centre and all of the major attractions. The restaurants that Stratos recommended were excellent! We would love to go back and stay longer.

What to say - perfect place to stay. Hospitality, cleanliness, well equipped and in a city center. The host welcome us with open hands which is so sweet. If you working remotely this is the perfect place to stay. In this apartment you can find everything - iron, iron table, washing Maschine, coffee Maschine, tv with Netflix, high speed internet, good air conditioning. You can dry your clothes outside apartment and there is a table to sit outside. Neighborhood is quiet and you can sleep well. Kitchen is well equipped and you have everything you need. Just to mention that host left us cold water inside fridge!!! Bus line 6 can take you to Ammoudara beach. On the way to Ammoudara beach you can make to Nike Factory Store! Also in the neighborhood you have great Paradosiako bakery with tasty sandwich with Salmon. Big and tasty sandwich for 4 Euros. Some four stars Hotels don’t have such hospitality and service. I highly recommend this place!

The building is renovated and the apartment had everything we needed for a stay of few days. The communication with Stratos was perfect, he quickly answered all my questions and left a list of suggestions for us.

Couldn't stay longer.

Stratos (the owner) was very friendly and helpful from the beginning till the end! We walked to the wrong Uni Island location (I gave the GPS to my girlfriend 😂) and he drove there to pick us up 😅 We didn't even have to ask. He arranged taxis for us and gave us welcoming goodies and suggestions of where to eat and where to go. If I am ever in Herakleion again I would stay there. The location is in a quiet neighborhood 5 to 7 minutes walk to the centre where all the cafes and restaurants are. The actual place is like a small neighborhood with a very warm feeling. The suite we booked had a huge bathroom with a walk in shower and a washing machine and the living room also had a small oven to cook in.

The neighborhood is somewhat dirty (waste and many stray cats).

The apartments are super clean, quiet, modern and safe. I was able to check in very early in the morning by a special agreement with the host. He is available the whole time. The local is close to the city center.

I booked last-minute/with zero notice and check-in was a breeze. Perfect for those who don’t like to plan ahead… The place looks exactly like the photos - charming, comfortable, very clean, and equipped with all the necessities (and even some thoughtful extras). Excellent Location, and a host who is always there to help in the nicest way possible. Very close to both the town centre and the harbour and really safe to walk at night.

The apartment has a full kitchen (including washing machine), an inner court cool sitting area, a decent size sitting area with TV and dining corner by exposed natural rock. Modern, with attention to detail in design, quiet, clean - an excellent space for two people to spend a holiday week or even longer. Centre within walking distance, ab 10 min; ab 5 min to sea line, numerous bakeries, cafes and different style restaurants in the area, plus mini markets and a B supermarket. The Archaeological Museum, Natural History Museum and the stunning Ancient Greek Technology Museum are nearby. Stratos is an amazingly and genuinely kind and welcoming host! Meets requests with a smile and responds within seconds when contacted.

My wife and father-in-law stayed there for 3 days. The host was very welcoming and kind. He was also very accommodating with all our requests. We highly recommend staying there. The room was very clean with brand new equipment and modern furniture and very good value for money.

Excellent stay at Uni Island Old Town Suites! Very well located into the old town of Heraklion, we were able to visit everything by foot. The room was fully equiped, super clean and very nice. Stratos, the owner of the hotel, was just wonderful: always available, sharing so many good tips to visit the city and very professional. I recommend a 100%!

Just be aware that the kitchen is rather basic (just if you expect to cook a really big dinner) --> my recommendation: for sure you can use the kitchen, it has most of the things you need and it is clean. There are also amazing restaurants nearby and also some really inexpensive ones, so try the greek food they have here! It is amazing! :-)

Very clean, modern, new, everything you need, pretty much in the center of the city --> Perfect place to stay if you don't need any unnecessary frills but a very clean, nice, everything you need apartment Stratos (the host) was very nice and always available for questions. He even left a welcome present in the beginnin. Perfect host!

I have stayed here 3 nights , and the owner is very very helpful with high hospitality . the apartment is Morden , new , clean , everything a traveller needs is there . best location , 5-10minutes walk to center . supermarket , restaurants are around .
