Andreas is a very nice guy and it did not change over the years. You can ask him whatever you need to know about Agia Roumeli, he knows everything. You are planning hikes, boat trips, whatever, he can help you. If you only want to swim or lay on the beach, no need to ask is just in front of you ;-) The restaurant overlooks the port and the sea, it is very nice place to chill out and the food is very good as well. Andreas met us and our rooms were ready in the early afternoon after our Samaria Gorge walk. Great ocean view with a patio. We could use the private beach in front with lounger chairs and enjoy a swim with beer and cocktails served from the bar.

The bed and pillows were uncomfortable and the fridge hadn't been cleaned, but don't let that put you off as everything else was great!

We liked the proximity to the sea and walking. Eating breakfast overlooking the water and listening to the waves lapping on the beach at night in bed. Andreas was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The room was basic which we expected with a hairdryer, fridge and quirky but functional shower and hangers for drying on the balcony. Breakfast and dinner were tasty and substantial.

Just be aware that Agia Roumeli is not accessible by car although this isn't a big problem as you can easily get there by ferry.

The area, it's superb, not too crowded with about a dozen places to eat. There's a couple of nice walks nearby including one along the coast to the chapel of St Paul which takes about 2 hours. The water is also clear compared to some of the fine sand beaches.

Lovely location overlooking the beach and very helpful staff. Amazing value for money and a good place to chill out after Samaria gorge trek. If you stay here then you have free access to sun loungers on the beach which are well needed as it’s a rocky beach

Extremely friendly owner and staff. Lovely terrace, with great food. So peaceful and beautiful in the evenings, after the boat goes. In mid-July, the river was running, cool and green, at the foot of the Samaria Gorge -- perfect for evening paddles.

It is always a delight to visit Tarra in Agia Roumelia, Andreas and the whole staff are very kind and helpful. The hotel is lovely, restaurant excellent, and I can warmly recommend this place for anyone!

I dont know i like everythink.

It is beautiful hotel on the beach, with unbelievable view from terrace of restaurant and from room balcony! Very helpful people work there, we like every think. They help us with all question. Hotel has own restaurant and bar. It is testiest food in the planet! Try local pie with cheese and segariasto it is best dish! Nice place to work with computer notebook in the restaurant terrace. Every day you can take the boat to the island or nearest villages, hiking or stay on the beach . But the best it is stars sky at nighttime, it is the best place to see milkyway.

We spent a night a Tarra after the Samaria Gorge treck. which was a great idea. We had Dinner with local food at Tarra on the beautiful terrace with a great view. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet with a small balcony with sea view. Thank you Andreas for the great food and service !

Not exactly clean, bathroom shelf was visibly not cleaned for a while.

Even though you see a lot of the restaurant roof top underneath the view is still amazing as you are super close to the water and have 180 degree view. Staff is very friendly and the location is perfect. Such a cute small town. Perfect start for a costal walk.

Comfortable room with balcony overlooking sea, clean and with hot shower and cold fridge. A warm welcome from Andreas to a small hotel directly overlooking the beach (free beach beds and umbrellas) and a few steps from the ferry. We slept with the balcony doors open listening to the waves and looking at the stars. The hotel was a great price and although we didn’t try the restaurant the cafe was a sun trap with nice beer and cocktails. Glad we made our short visit to Agia Roumeli; it had a couple of beach areas and a chilled vibe with something quite nice as the happy day trippers arrived from the gorge. In the evening, after they’d left, plenty of places to eat and drink and in the day places to swim/snorkel and day walks.

Andreas was a great host and helped us with an issue we had with our car back in Palaiohora. The food in the restaurant is great and well-priced. There are some sun loungers on the beach out front that guests can use for free. Overall, we had a great time here!
