Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandIt's on a busy tourist street, so it can get noisy in, the evening, especially on weekends. The bathroom is really small so all the things will get wet when you shower. We couldn't change AC temperature which was fixed at 26°C - but those were all very minor inconveniences given the price & location.
Stelios is a great host. He was eager to help us should we need it and offered coffee and biscuits every morning. The rooms are very close to both the old Venetian harbor and the city/long distance bus stations. While the place is rather old, it's kept clean.

PolandThe temperature of the AC in our room cannot be increased and decreased, but it's still ok because there is a fan in the room.
The owner is very nice. He made us warm tea and biscuits every morning. The room is clean and the location is very strategic, close to everywhere. The owner also gave us tips to go to tourist attractions like the museum and beach. He is so friendly. Thank you.

Very nice location and very nice people! It is highly recommended in the booking App for a reason! Mr Stelios helped us book the local bus tour (which is cheaper than we do it ourselves). He also made very tasty coffee!

United StatesThe beach is far from the hotel. You have to walk at least 25 minutes to get there. The other alternative was to take the city bus. The wet bathroom was very very small, and taking a shower meant everything in the room got very wet. But it was clean.
Stelios was fantastic as was Stavrula. The room was large enough for 2 people and there were plenty of towels and blankets. Every morning Steliios and Stavrula offered to make me coffee, provided homemade biscoff, along with making my daughter tea. Anything I needed, I just asked, and they provided it to me. For instance, I asked for beach towels, and 2 minutes later, I had them. The location was excellent as far as shopping, restaurants, pharmacies, and grocery store. Also a fantastic location to get to the marina and walk the Venetian wall and the lighthouse. Also the main bus station was only a 5 minute walk.

United KingdomThe place is facing a church. Bells ring from 6 am.
Location is just perfect. The hotel is located at the heart of the old city. 2 min walk from the bay and 12 min walk from the sandy beach. Everything you need ia just around you. Owners go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. Got free morning hot drinks, delivered to our door step at our requested time. Balcony was just amazing. Sunny, warm and offers view to the city. Morning coffee in the balcony is second to nothing.

ItalyNothing, it was all perfect!
The location of the accommodation is perfect, right in the centre of the city of Chania. On arrival I was greeted with great enthusiasm and was immediately offered an excellent breakfast of Greek coffee and biscuits; breakfast is offered every morning! The owner is a grown man who is very friendly and especially good company; he advised me on all the points of interest in the area and gave me valuable tips for my travels. He also has a 30% discount on excursions. The room was great with even the air conditioning and, hear hear, two bottles of water included in the minibar. Cordiality and professionalism. I recommend the stay here!

VietnamThe bathroom is rather small but it is fine for me.
I like the location. It is within walking distance to the Lighthouse and the habor, A Lot of restaurants and shops around. It is very convenient for a short stay. The facility is basic but for me, it is ok for a short stay. I stayed in a double room with balcony. The room is bigger than in the photo. When reading all comments, I expect it must be very noisy but it is not actually. I closed the window and I could sleep very well, not very noisy. I would recommend this accomodation for a short stay in touristic area, near the bus station as well.

Stelios Rooms are in the perfect location. The room was clean and serviced 3 times during our stay. The bed was comfortable and the airconditioner was great! There was also an overhead fan if we needed. For what you pay the rooms are great value for money. Our host Stelios was a kind gentleman. We enjoyed having greek coffee and raki with him. It was lovely to chat with him.

HungaryWhen the host showed us the room he said that SOMETIMES cockroaches could appear in the bathroom. What???We were really surprised how it could even happen because there was no previous information about any COCKROACHES on their web page on booking. And when my son faced two of them on the very first day we didn't open the door of the barthroom any more during our stay except on the last day when I took a picture of its condition. We found a spotlessly clean public toilet at the port and used it. Otherwise I took some pictures of the layer of dust on the lamp, the missing bulbs and the bathroom. The balcony would have been a perfect place to read in the evenings but unfortunately there was no light bulb in the lamp outside. It was a disappointement for us. I think it is not worth paying 50 euros per night for a place in such a bad condition even if the hosts are extremely kind.
The host is a very kind person, he welcomed us with coffee and snacks, there were thwo bottles of water in the fridge as a present. The location is perfect because it is near the sea and it is on the main street. The bed was small but comfortable and the bedlinen was clean.
