Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwedenThis actually isn't the hotels fault. But, too loud in the restaurant, with all the screaming kids, and kids (mostly) also made it messy at the buffet....please parents, why?? We tried to come at various times, but it was impossible to have a somewhat calm and quiet, nice meal. Positive :Nice to have the possibility to sit outside. But the hotel would benefit to zone the restaurant in some way!! Say make a zone, with possibility to sit both inside and outside - where NO toddlers or kids under say age 13-15 years are welcome.
Easy to find sun beds, which enabled us to actually sleep in, when we wanted to-nice on a holiday! Clean. The food was excellent, especially enjoyed the greek specialities, and that you could make your own choice with meat, fish, vegetables etc and combine it deliciously ! Enjoyed also the possibility to have shadow, with large trees. Nice room, with our own pool! Quiet and calm at night.

United KingdomNot much in the way of entertainment. The games room table tennis table and bats a little worn. No outdoor pitches for sport. Not much information on tours available locally unless you ask at reception, who were really helpful when you did.
Lovely hotel, we had a family room on 2 levels with ensuite and balconies on both levels. The lower level was set up as a living area with 2 pull out beds. Upstairs double bedroom, ensuite with spacious balcony where 6 of us sat to play games. The staff were really friendly and helpful. We had some food allergies and as this was all inclusive a lot of options were unsuitable however the staff were very accommodating and helpful with this providing suitable options. George on reception was particularly helpful with this and René the head waitress. Lots of choice for breakfast and evening meals, we didn’t take lunches so cannot comment however snacks available throughout the day which kept us going. Water park was a 5min walk away and had a great pool as well as slides. Beach was a further couple of minutes down the path, beautiful but quite pebbly beach need water shoes or similar as quite sore in the feet. Few days waves were crashing and red flags but few days had lovely calm sea beyond the shore dump. 1/2hr walk up beach talks you to Kolymvari which has sheltered swimming area on beach and slightly more sandy which feels much safer. Bus stop right outside taking you either to Kissamos or Chania, very reasonable way to travel.

FinlandThe place is more enjoyable on sunny days, which Crete has plenty of. But our first day was a rainy day and there was really not much to do in the hotel. There was a table tennis table and rackets but they are in extremely bad shape. The car we rented through an agent introduced by the hotel, was not good, in both quality and price.
- I liked the food, good varieties and a lot of fresh local food. - Nice local music in the evening - Nice shallow pools for children and waterpark. - The tours that you can book from the hotel are of good value.

GreeceThe breakfast has some room for improvement. I could not create the tower with pancakes and nutella that I crave. I didn't like the fact that I had to cross a public road to get to the waterpark and room (although they were very close). Finally, the billiard game was not functional at the time that I was there...
The people that work there are very kind and helpful! The room was modern and spacious. The jacuzzi had seats for many people and was very well placed. I really enjoyed it!

FranceIdeal for a family (bring some family games to play in the evening), could be a bit boring for young adults. No night life in the hotel after midnight. No animation during the day! Only 2 evenings a week with some Greek music and a saxophonist musician.
All inclusive facility hotel in Creta... what can we not like?? The hotel has a nice main pool, a great waterpark. Kids loved the vacation there and made quickly new friends. All is really nearby, it's a short walking distance from waterpark to the room suites and to the main hotel. The sea is just after the waterpark. All inclusive live is easy if you like to stay at the hotel to relax: enjoy the breakfast, go to the pool, drinks and snacks available at the pool bar, go the restaurant for the lunch, take the coffee at the bar, go the waterpark: drinks and snacks available as well, back to the main pool until 7:30 pm, enjoy the pool bar again until 6:30 pm, after that the main bar opens again, enjoy the dinner, possibility to have a drink at the main bar until midnight. Restaurant and food: to be honest I was a bit worried after all the comments seen on internet, but we spent 10 days there and everybody could find something good and delicious to eat. Buffets are well served even if you come late and close to the closing hours. Menu is different everyday, and there is each time the possibility to try a Greek meal. Lots of staff working hard, and always friendly. Special congratulations to George at the reception who was also singing one night! Property was clean. We took 2 rooms with sea view for our family of 5 persons, they were functional with a nice balcony, but still in the old building, not yet renovated. Close to the Chania airport (40 min), Chania is a nice town for shopping as well. Platanias (17 min bus) is easy to reach with the bus stopping in front of the hotel for some souvenirs shopping, or a dinner, bars in the evening. There is a bus going to Kissamos as well if you want to visit Balos beach and Gravmousa by boat.
