Overall our stay was very good. However, the room’s size was quite small. It would be preferable if the shower was fully enclosed.

The location of the property is just perfect. The room was very clean and Georgia, the owner of the property, was very kind and helpful.

The only thing that could possibly be improved was the air conditioning could do with going to a lower temperature especially for in the summer months when it is hot all night. It didn’t cool the room down massively but it was bearable.

Great location. Just off one of the Main Street. There’s a lovely restaurant opposite and a two min walk from an amazing coffee place called funkys. Best coffee in chania also does pizza, sandwiches and great salads. About 5min walk from harbour which is filled with restaurants and shops. Had a balcony which was lovely and great view. Clean and modern rooms. Staff were super helpful and available 24/7. Especially when my mum locked us out our room on the first night :/ they always made sure everything was okay and asked if they could do anything to improve our stay. Rooms cleaned daily with clean towels and topped up amenities. Would 100% stay here again and it was a really reasonable price. Staff were perfect and offered to organise airport transfers (driver was also lovely). Thank you!!

Perfect location,easy access to the Harbour and main shopping area. Room is a bit on the small side but wasn't an issue. Bed was very comfortable.would highly recommend staying here.

Excellent location in the Heart of the Old and New Town of Chania! Clean and tidy! Local amenities - supermarkets, bakeries, galleries, museums, restaurants in the harbour - in a distance of a couple metres.

The only negative of the location is that during the weekend it could get a bit noisy, so I would not recommend it if you are a light sleeper. (it wasn't a problem for us) It would have been nice to have a small bottle of milk (300-500ml) to compliment the coffee. The smallest we could buy was 1L, which is a bit of a waste for a long-weekend stay. But the coffee does come with complimentary biscuits, which is still very nice of the owners. The balcony is common for 2 rooms, which means if you want to leave your bathing suit to dry it's also accessible to your neighbours. But there are 2 separate drying areas (at each end of the balcony), so hopefully no problems occur.

The hotel is at an excellent location, being so close to restaurants, cafes, bars, only 10-15 min walk to the Nea Chora beach (our preferred one over Koum Kapi). The only negative of the location is that during the weekend it could get a bit noisy, so I would not recommend it if you are a light sleeper. The room gets cleaned every day, with fresh towels, coffee etc. There was complimentary wine and water bottles in the fridge upon our arrival. Georgia messaged me several times before and during the trip to make sure we have everything we need and responded very quickly at any requests. Excellent communication. She also decorated the room for my birthday, which was very nice of her. Water pressure in the overhead shower is good enough for my long hair, which is quire important when the sea water messes your hair every day. The shower was very spacious.

Where to begin…fantastic communication, quick, super easy and polite. Could not have been more friendly. The hotel is beautifully located down a side street in the centre of Chania, perfect spot for exploring. The room although small, was perfectly formed, immaculately clean and well furnished, we couldn’t fault it. Upon arrival Georgia greeted us for an early check in and made us feel instantly welcome. We even had a complimentary bottle of rose, a lovely unexpected treat. Would recommend this hotel to anyone, delightful.

The location was perfect, in the center of old town. Georgia was really professional. She answered very fast, with proper emoticons :) It was so easy to communicate with her. A bottle of wine was waiting for us upon arrival, together with some other extras. I would like to come back next summer.

It is right in the centre of the old town. Location is everything and the actual hotel is absolutely excellent. The staff were very very helpful especially Georgia who gave me tips on where to go and what to do. I actually regret not staying more !!! Very safe and as soon as you walk out you're about 4 min walking to the old harbour. Brilliant. Definitely coming back again

Everything about this little boutique hotel was exceptional. From the time of booking, the communication from the manager Georgia was outstanding. Georgia went above and beyond to answer every question or querie I had. As a solo traveller, her guidance made my time in Chania effortless. Her communication was always clear and detailed. By the time I arrived and met her in person, I felt like I had known her all my life. She greated me with a warm, welcoming smile always. I can't praise Georgia and the team at Cretan Berry Portou enough. The hotel was one of the cleanest I have ever stayed in. The moment you open the door, a beautiful, clean, fresh aroma welcomed you. Nektaria & Petros did an amazing job. The location was perfect, and the breakfast was outstanding, although it wasn't at the hotel. I enjoyed going to @typographeio every morning. The staff there were warm and welcoming. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to revisiting in the near future. Thank you to all the staff for their warm welcome. ❤️

The location was perfect as well as the service and everything was near us. The room was very clean and comfortable. Also, Mrs Georgia the host, was very polite and helpful and available whenever we needed her. Although our trip was really short, Ms Georgia have helped us to have the best time ever and even organized for us an excursion.

A little too noisy into the night from surrounding establishments but that is not the fault of the Cretan Berry.
