Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

South AfricaI'm highly allergic to cats and there were a few cats at the hotel, which isn't uncommon for Greece. But unfortunately for me my allergies went crazy and I hardly slept. I don't blame the accommodation for this I should have called ahead to check.
The staff are amazing, very friendly and helpful. Truly made me feel welcomed.

United KingdomThe room wasn't anything like the pictures shown. While they did the job, it was just well below what we expected. The beds were rock solid which made for a terrible night's sleep. We ended up using a pool at a different hotel as the pool there was green when we got there. It did look like it had been cleaned further in the week though. I'm very glad we stayed in May and not all the clubs were open yet , even still the noise at night was quite bad.
The staff were absolutely brilliant, so friendly. Great location, handy for everything We had a really late flight amd they let us keep our room on for several hours later.

United KingdomPersonally there could of been information given out on arrival about breakfast, for example like the timings and where it was going to be served. Also there was no options, I am allergic to orange juice and that was the only juice option.
I was very happy with my stay, the staff are very nice and welcoming. Thank you

IsraelA few things: 1- When we went to do Tzik An, they tried to steal from us to pay for turning on the air conditioner. 2- Rooms are not the same rooms you see in the pictures. 3- Rooms not clean at all! 4- Objection by the owner of the place is not okay. The owners of the place broke the door of our room and they tried to steal a sum of money from us for breaking the door and we are not related to the matter, in the end they threw us out of the place and also sued us. 5- A place not worth it at all, pay a little more money and get a better place than this disgusting place.

United KingdomCloud 9 nightclub closes at 6am. There is very loud rap music all night and therefore NO chance whatsoever of getting ANY sleep at all. There is no food and the bar is shut all day. It is not really a hotel, although the rooms are nice. The staff are lovely. Of course it’s not their fault. In the end I moved out and went to stay with friends although I had already paid for my hotel stay,
Cloud 9 is situated on the Strip on Malia. If I had realised this, I wouldn’t have booked it. It is a nightclub with rooms upstairs. Xx

United StatesFirst of all, the photos are fake. The inside of the hotel is a lot older than it seems in the photos posted on booking. Then, the bathrooms are terrible and the water pressure is non-existent. The music will keep you up until 5am, but i guess that's what you signed up for when you rented a room on the strip. They change the sheets and towels every 3 days, and asking for more isn't that well welcomed. Overall, once we got there, we realized why this place was cheaper than the others. If you're there to party all night, it's a good deal I guess. Other than that, wouldn't recommend at all.
The location was great and the guys at the bar are cool. The pool was nice actually.

ItalyPRATICALLY A SCAM I was travelling with my girlfriend, we chose this hotel looking at the pics posted on Booking and unfortunately wedidn't read the reviews. The hotel is so terrible that we left after the first night, even if we paid for 4 nights. - The place is really ugly and dirty, totally different from the pics you can see here on booking. The pics are so photoshopped that they are pratically fake. - We booked a triple room but the host gave us a double room. - The room was embarassing and it stinked. There was a shoe footrpint stamped on the wall above our bed (!). - THEY NEVER CLEAN. There were cigarettes and food junk spread along the stairs and the corridors: we left in the morning, came back in the afternoon and they didn't clean it. - The windows are not soundproof and YOU CAN'T SLEEP because of the disco music playing all night long in front of the hotel. - Different drunk persons made a lot of noise all night long (screaming and beating at the doors) without nobody stopping them. - The elevator is dangerous because there is no protection between the floors, you can touch the raw wall. The second day the elevator was not working at all. - We were supposed to have included a taxy service from the airport to the hotel but none showed up, and the host never replied to our emails. - We were supposed to have included air conditioned but the host asked for 7 extra euros per night to be paid by cash. - THE HOST NEVER RESPOND TO THE EMAILS AND TO THE PHONE-CALLS, even if you call him at the hotel number.. - The host is rude. We tried to politely ask for a partial refund when we left the htotel after the first night but, he didn't help at all and he said that I was lying and abusing him. - The reception service is pratically non-existent. THIS IS A LOW-CLASS HOSTEL when you CAN'T SLEEP because of the dirt, the stink and the noise, not a HOTEL. I hope that booking will take action against this scam. PICS ATTACHED:

United KingdomRude unhelpful staff. Shower drain blocked whole bathroom floor flooded within 30 seconds, did not get fixed during our stay. Room cleaned once a week, dirty toilet tissues left in bin for duration. Air conditioning not included, extra charge and have to pay cash. Hotel room was boiling. Soundproofing is a lie, room above Candy club music till 6am. Hotel staff shouting at neighbours and making racist comments toward them for their shower also flooding due to blocked drains, threatening to charge them 100euros. Airport drop off and pick up - as listed in the hotel facilities, if you email the hotel they won't reply.
