Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

The hotel was spotlessly clean. The swimming pool was also very clean, and all the surrounding ares. The plants and bushes were well tended and there was colour everywhere.

MaltaAll seemed good for us as staying only for one night.
Silence, chill and relaxing atmosphere most probably as it's end of summer season. Everything in the room, comfy beds, hot water with a good pressure of water. Nice view.

United Kingdom- The Mattress! For us this was the main problem with our stay. It was very, very hard. We regularly visit Greece so are used to the usual hard mattresses, but this was something else. Every night both my partner and I would wake up due to how uncomfortable it was, with my partner suffering pain in their hips a few days in due to how hard the mattress was. We resorted to sleeping on extra blankets which made little difference. It’s no exaggeration when I say the pool lounger pads were more comfortable than the mattress. - The rooms were clean but basic and missing a few simple amenities. No kettle or any tea/coffee making options, no hair dryer, no iron/ironing board. However there was a fridge which was a nice touch. The air con unit in the room was clearly very dated and worked intermittently. A couple of nights it just simply refused to turn on, and when it did it was noisy. I would say they need replacing. I would also advise staying on the upper floor. We had a ground floor room and the outdoor balcony/seating area is overlooked by most of the upper rooms and does not offer any privacy. - There is a safe in the rooms but this isn’t included in your stay and cost around €3 extra a day to use. Seems like an unnecessary tax just to keep your valuables safe. - When swimming in the pool, if you touch the bottom or sides this left a strange blue film on the skin. I can only assume this is down to the type of paint used. Looking at other reviews this seems to be a common issue.
- The hotel is very quiet (thanks to being adults only). Guests were a mixture of couples and solo travellers. Very relaxing environment with nicely maintained gardens and a pool area that doesn’t play music, so was nice and relaxing. Despite not having many pool loungers (roughly around 25 in total), we never struggled to get a lounger during our stay. - The staff were very friendly, including those on reception, pool/bar staff and cleaners. All were very friendly and more than happy to help whenever needed. - The included buffet breakfast was varied and of good quality, with plenty of different options to choose from. Only downside is breakfast is limited to just 2 hours between 8am to 10am, would be nice if this was extended to 11. The hotel offers an evening meal at an extra price but can’t comment on this, as we ate out every night. - Very nice family run taverna (Sto Skouteli) with great food just a 5 minute walk from the hotel. There’s also a bus stop very close to the hotel (outside the mini market), allowing for easy access to Chania, Kissamos, etc.

GreeceEverything was great. From the moment we arrived until the day we left the stuff treated us very nice. The room was the perfect size for 2 people and it was clean. We spent 5 days there and we would definitely visit again. The hotel has a large pool in which we spent many hours and the beach was less than 5 minutes walk from the hotel. The food was good both the breakfast and the dinner. Will definitely visit again

HungaryAltough the hotel is just at the seaside, at this part of Crete there are no nice beaches since it under WWF protection regarding the sea turtles that go there to lay down their eggs. For the really nice beaches like Elafonisi, Falassarna you have to take the bus (or rent car). We took the bus everywhere, nice towns, villages are in reachable destination like Chania or Platanias.
The hotel is very nice, clean and quiet. The staff is excellent, as well as the big pool. The food for this price was nice, what I petsonally missed was a larger variety of fresh vegetables and fruits. It is easy to use the public transport, you just have to walk to the main road (cc 7-8 minutes).

United KingdomThe property was lovely
Greek hospitality at it’s best. Hotel room and public areas were immaculate. The staff were perfect, very friendly, cheerful and helpful. If you like quiet, this hotel is perfect. It is down a quiet road and close to the beach. I arrived after midnight, on my own and did feel a little vulnerable as there was no-one around, but found my room and felt better once inside. I was upgraded for free to the seaview room, which was lovely, spotlessly clean, and the bed was very comfortable. It’s about a 15 minute walk to a few very nice tavernas in the harbour.

SwitzerlandWith a name like MrsChryssana we expected a smallish family-run hotel, not a "resort" with 46 rooms! We should of course have checked the photos but cannot remember why we missed this. Being late in the season, there were very few visitors, not more than 10 or so, and the hotel no longer served dinner. Otherwise all was fine.

AustraliaGet rid of the QR checkin - complete rubbish and goes against the grain of the family hotel and Greek Hospitality for which besides this dilemma was generally outstanding.
I liked everything to be honest and will be back. We were on a planned trip so only stayed one night but will be back. Highly Recommended 👍

RomaniaThe location is outside of the crowded cities, which we wanted to avoid, while still having plenty of supermarkets and restaurants nearby. The stuff was very friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean. The pool was open even in October, which was great for the days when the weather was windy and swimming in the see was not very appealing.
