The blinds etc don't block enough light and there are lights in the room that can't be turned off, so it's quite bright in the morning and due to street lights also at night.

It's a great and very spacious place in a pretty central location. The staff is super responsive and very helpful.

The apartment was on the ground floor of a building on a quiet street, quite easy to find and within walking distance of the centre and the bus stop for the airport. It was immaculately clean, comfortable and well equipped with oven, microwave oven, coffee machine and also a kettle (extra marks for this so we could make a cup of tea,). The linen was of very good quality. Aircon was much appreciated in the heat. The owner sent us some helpful recommendations for restaurants nearby. We would definitely recommend Candia Strata.

There were no utensils for cooking. There was an induction stove but no pans. It was really hard if you planned to cook. It would be challenging if you stayed for a longer time and won't be able to cook.

The location was good. The best part is the AC. There was one in the living room and 1 in the bedroom. It really helps, especially because it was really hot outside due to the heatwave. The hosts were also responsive.

Location close to town but a map showing directions to centre of town would have been great help. I kept getting lost. Also location of nearest bus station to be able to use bus services.

Great facilities. Staff responded to all enquiries quickly very helpful.. on arrival before check-in time the ĺady cleaning the apartment very sweet and helpful re getting more towels sheets etc Wishing me a great holiday.

The street were the apartment is located was not very clean, we were 4 people so I would have appreciated to find cups and glasses for 4 people instead of 2

Apartment at the ground floor, brand new in a very quiet area, just ten minutes walk to the downtown. Communication with the host was not in presence but it was keen and efficient. I will recommend it

It was close to city center. We stayed the for one night just after we landed in Heraklion. It was perfect because we could check in any time we wanted. The rooms were clean, there was also a fridge and kettle.

Underneath the sink there is an hole where pipes and electricity pass thru. There was a rat in the room that came in and out of that hole.

I didn't feel safe because the codes for the room and the front door was similar and really simple-intuitives and also you can open the outside door without the code just inserting your hand through the fence. There was no possibility to leave the luggage to the reception and the host suggested us to leave the luggage in a cabinet next to our room but there was no possibility to lock the cabinet and you can access easily just opening the fence in the way I described. The mattress need to be changed

The room seems clean, the air conditioned was perfectly working, the bathroom was perfect and the host was available.

Following our stay at « Candia Stera hotel » we would like to notify you with the following dysfunctions, unknown from our side when we booked through booking.com, and nowhere indicated on the ad on booking.com : 1- first of all the apartment was unfinished at different locations ( bathroom, room1). We have took some photos of the holes and tubes. 2- Second point , as the appartement was unfinished we had the visit of workers in third floor which is in messy situation ( rubbles, building material…). Adding to this the rooftop was not secured. 3- third point will be about hygiene and cleansing. The room has not been made … and unfortunately we found cockroaches in the bathroom by night … it was a terrifying experience as one of us is phobic. 4. The hotel did not have a frontage, making it difficult for us to find it. And it is not a hotel but an Airbnb, as no cleaning was done during our stay. As said before, the unfinished statuts of this appartement and building has not be notify in the Booking.com annonce and hygiene problems are not acceptable. After our stay we contacted the rent agency to discuss with them these problems, they said that we were blackmailing them to not pay the price. It's a shame to show pictures that are not correct. I want a refund because the price is high for this apartment which is not even worth half.
