The owner used the COVID lockdown to fit thousands of pebbles everywhere, turning the place into a gorgeous hideaway. The safari arranged is particularly good as the driver used is a veteran of the park. He arranges breakfast at a beautiful lodge, in the park, halfway throug your safari. Unique and only possible because he knows the people.

Abbiamo soggiornato all'Hantara per due notti, ed è stato fantastico: le camere sono arredate in stile molto moderno, se scegliete le "relax" avrete a disposizione il fantastico bagno all'esterno, davvero carino. Disponibile aria condizionata in ogni room. La prima sera abbiamo cenato all'interno del resort ed è stato tutto perfetto, chicken kottu davvero saporito, chicken nasi goreng rice abbondante e delizioso! Prezzi nella norma, ma qualità molto alta! La colazione al mattino è stata semplicemente fantastica: il milk rice con il dhal, il pollo ed il coconut sambol si abbinavano perfettamente. Resort fantastico davvero molto consigliato ❤️

Set in Udawalawe, 15 km from Udawalawe National Park, C B S RESORT Udawalawe offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. Quiet location, air conditioning and very quiet ceiling fans. So I had a good rest. The breakfast was very tasty, there was also fish, when I ate what I had, they gave me more. Friendly nice staff.

The best stay during our trip in Sri Lanka so far. Hashan and his family amazed us with their hospitality, they are extremely kind people, help us with everything we needed. We did the safari and we were extremely lucky to have Hashan as our guide we were everywhere first or among the first and had the best spots, saw lots of elephants families right next to our jeep. The food was delicious accommodation great as well. We recommend everywhere 😊🙏.

Located in Udawalawe, 17 km from Udawalawe National Park, The Mastodon Valley Safari Resort provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a restaurant. This place is simply stunning. The lodges are lovely and surround a beautiful pool. The gardens are full of mango and other fruit trees which are filled with all sorts of wildlife like monkeys, birds and giant squirrels. The staff were very helpful and arranged a safari tour to Udawalawe for us which was great. The Sri Lankan breakfast was amazing.

So far this hotel was our most beautiful place to stay in sri lanka! It is in the middle of the national park and the room was very large and beautiful. We liked the huge pool the best! The breakfast was delicious and so was our lunch and dinner! The staff was very courteous and they organized a great safari trip and a visit to the elephant orphanage.

One of the best in Udawalawa unique location is amazing. We have a wonderful stay in the cottage and the staff are helpful, friendly and its manager was so generous. We will come back again I had breakfast in the jungle wild doing safari was amazing....

Set amid lush tropical greenery , bordering the beautiful Belihuloya River and overlooking the Horton Plains Mountain Range, , River Garden Resort features tranquil and comfortable accommodations as... The stay was by far the most interesting element of this resort. We opted to stay in one of the tent rooms to feel more adventurous without committing to a full-on hardcore camping experience. The tent itself is located on the hill behind the restaurant and can be reached via a beautiful winding path through the forest of the hills. Its very easy to locate and isn’t too far from the entrance. We were quite pleasantly surprised by the aesthetic of the tent interior and all the amenities provided. Literally everything we could need was available within arm’s reach. The property itself was a beautiful natural area with winding pathways and natural rock stairways to help move around and just taking a walk within the camp site area alone was breathtaking. It’s a fantastic place to take a morning walk and when we went further down the hill, the path leads to a shallow, natural river pool where one can take a bath in pristine clear river water. The area is so low down the hill and covered by trees so it’s very private. Beyond the resort and onto the main road a walk to either direction provides stunning vistas of misty mountains and bright emerald-green paddy fields that soothe the soul. The food of River Garden was some of the best tasting food we have ever had. Kudos to the chef and team for creating some amazing dishes ranging from traditional Sri Lankan to Western dishes: every day they demonstrated their prowess as master chefs. When we went out for activities they were kind enough to pack our food for takeaway so we could have a meal on the go.
