From the moment we arrived, the host, David, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at home. The hotel itself is relatively new, and it's clear that a lot of thought and care has gone into every detail. The rooms are beautifully decorated and equipped with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The quality of the bathrooms was particularly impressive, with modern fixtures and luxurious amenities. The location of the hotel is simply unbeatable, especially for those who love surfing. Situated in front of a reef, it's perfect for advanced surfers looking for a challenge. Additionally, there is a stunning snorkeling spot just a short walk down the beach, where you can explore the vibrant marine life to your heart's content. One thing to note is that while the hotel is in front of the reef, you can't swim directly in front of the property. You'll need to walk a bit further down the beach and navigate some rocks, so I would recommend bringing water shoes for added comfort. The energy at Mirissa Reef Serenity is truly special, and a large part of that is thanks to the incredibly friendly staff. In fact, they were the friendliest staff we encountered during our entire two-week trip. David, who is French, brings a touch of Western style to the breakfast offerings, which we thoroughly enjoyed. We visited the hotel with our six-year-old son, and it was a hit with the whole family. We had a fantastic time spotting wild animals in the reef and during our snorkeling adventures. Overall, our stay at Mirissa Reef Serenity was nothing short of perfect. From the welcoming atmosphere to the beautiful surroundings, everything exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended!

Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. The room was very comfortable- good mattress, AC worked great, hot water worked great, nice garden area, a small fridge. The location is great - close walk to the beach and the main road. The best thing about this place though is the hosts- they are so friendly and so helpful and they made everything super convenient for me. I wanted to rent a scooter, the host arranged it and had the bike delivered to my door. I needed a tuk tuk upon leaving and the host took me where I needed to go. Everything was so easy and for a very reasonable price.

The garden is dirextly to the river. Very peaceful and quiet. They also rented me a motorbike, everything 10 of 10.
