We couldn't have been happier to stumble across this absolute paradise! From the moment you arrive you feel like you are meeting family. We loved the secluded beach, taking the kayaks out to explore the nearby islands, laying on the hammocks and sharing mealtimes with everyone. Our food was included in our stay and it was fantastic. The rooms are clean, comfortable and have the most incredible view of mount Kinabalu during sunrise. It was a real highlight of our travels in Malaysia and the perfect spot to avoid the crowds and appreciate the stunning scenery and local life. Don't hesitate to book!

Situated amidst abundant greenery, Sepilok Nature Lodge - Formerly known as Sepilok Nature Resort is a haven for nature lovers. It has a restaurant, and offers complimentary WiFi access in its public areas. Dinner was delicious and the staff were very helpful. The front desk even stayed open longer to help us check in late - very much appreciated!

We were very happy about the fact that we had a beach. The usage of the other hotels within this resort was allowed - that was amazing! Great gym and the rooms were pretty big. Excellent!

Timba Garden FREE TOWN AND JETTY TRANSPORT has a garden, shared lounge, a restaurant and bar in Semporna. This 5-star resort offers a shared kitchen, room service and free WiFi. There is free private parking and the property offers paid airport shuttle service. Great little spot in a jungle neighborhood. Super friendly owners. We were hungry when we arrived and they were making chicken curry for their lunch, and added us to the preparations. Very unique location. I slept really well then off the next day for diving.

Nestled amongst the natural and lush greenery of the rainforests near the border between Malaysia and Brunei, Mulu Marriott Resort is located on Melinau Paku River in Miri. The resort boasts a large fitness centre, pool and a sauna. It is 20 minutes from the Mulu Airport by car. What an amazing place! It must be so hard to run a hotel in the middle of the jungle and they do such a great job! The transfer to/from the park works great, just let the staff/park security know. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The breakfast is amazing. We refilled our water bottles in the restaurant. Make sure you book trips in the park in advance! You won't be able to book much once you arrive.
