The staff was amazing and really made sure, that we have everything that we need. Since the hotel on the pictures is currently under renovation, we got a room in the Canary Nungwi Hotel with a free room upgrade and free 60 minutes massage for each one of us. It would be better to place some information in the Booking.com description, that the hotel is a different one, but they really cared well for us at the other hotel, it was a great stay and they definitely made it up for that small confusion. They also let us stay a bit longer on our last day and gave us a different room, such that we could shower once more before heading to the airport in the late afternoon.

This amazing hotel is the picture perfect of Zanzibar! It's one of those hotel that you drive up to and say "Wow"! I'm so happy that I got to stay here!". Our villa 205 was with a direct view of the sea. The villa was large, nice and comfortable; we got a fantastic swim pool, private beach double shower, a good sized bathroom. The beach fantastic and the sea so fabulous! The food and the service room was good standard, the customer service was great and meticulous, Mr Harry was very professional and always available to help us! This is a paradise place to stay and forget all your troubles.

the huge multiple pools, how close it was to the ocean, the food was really good and the staff (from reception to wait and bar staff and the Masai security team) were lovely and warm. the property is tucked away at the north most part of the island. commutes can be long. I would advise exploring exertions by boat or staying extra days in different parts of the island as well to get a more rounded experience
