This place was a dream! No reception, no check-in, everything is set up to make you feel in paradise as soon as you arrive. The staff throughout the hotel were very professional, friendly and extremely helpful. Special mention to Dumindu. He made our stay spectacular! He was so professional, helpful, friendly, polite and attentive to our needs. The food.. just incredible! The room was very spacious and well equipped with all essentials and fantastic view. We had monkeys just in front of our bedroom. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and the SPA and will come back for sure!

Amazing Jay the manager with everything we needed. Always smiling and making our stay the best ending for our trip. Lodge houses are super big, clean, comfortable and the garden and pool felt like paradise. The price you pay for what you get is more than ok. If we come back definitely we will come here again.

It was my first trip to Srilanka and I had a great deal from Booking.com. I hear about a nick name for Srilanka as "Smiling nation" . I experience the same with hotel staff and other people who I met outside. I highly recomond Srilanka as tour destination, is really safe and Value for money trip. Location - It is beautiful place with easy access to Main road, Railway station and beach. Safety and privacy is high within the property Hotel - Architecture was really beautiful I love it. Rooms are sizable. Design is beautiful. Even though it is a boutique hotel, all the facilities are there within the room including tea/coffee and bathroom amenities. Bathroom is bit small. But It is fit for purpose. We had all facilities within the room such as Air conditioned room, TV , internet connection. Staff- They are so friendlily, helpful and always smiling Food- Food was great.. Tried lots of seafood.. Recommend to try their sea food platter which is great Cleanness - It is well-maintained hotel. Rooms are cleaned well. Thank you THe Chariot Hikkduwa team. I will see you again.

What can I say! We loved everything about this property! It’s exactly how it looks in the pictures. The place is built with a lot of love and you can feel it as soon as you enter. It has the best pool, trust me I was in that pool 24/7. The rooms were so clean, surrounded by greenery. The property overlooks the backwaters, which is serene and beautiful. It’s literally like personal oasis! You will feel like you have landed in Heaven! Andrea and Shyam are the best host! They are filled with warmth and so much love. Andreas Austrian breakfast is to die for!! We used to wake up early, eagerly waiting on what magic is she gonna whip up everyday. Shyam use to serve us this incredible breakfast in the terrace which has the perfect view of the Lake. We were so glad to meet Peter! He is such a beautiful soul. We miss being there and all the living beings there. Oh how can I forget about the cute puppers Charlie, greets us every morning with big smile and enthusiasm.

The property is stunning, a true Sri Lankan oasis. The staff are very friendly and tentative, nothing is too much trouble. Plus, it’s very quiet, we occasionally saw other guests but the majority of the time it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves! it’s also only a short walk to the Main Street of Hikkaduwa. I’d definitely go back if I were to visit Sri Lanka again.
