We found this place after a bit of a research and it met our expectations way over the bar. The hosts are the most refined people I've met and they are always available to help in a nice distance. The room was with a very nice comfortable bed and very good shower system. We also brought breakfast which was homemade by them and tastes really good and healthy. They offer a map which helped us to cover all the important places in the ancient city and still had time to chill next to a lake. They also offered us a very quick laundry service. It was very relaxing and productive holiday because of this resort. Looking forward to visit again someday!

We planned to stay 2 nights but we ended up extending it to 5 nights. The family is extremely friendly and hospitable, going far and beyond to make our stay convenient and unforgettable: local tips, washing clothes, cooking any meals, short transports, and scooter rent can be arranged without hassle. They even significantly discounted the final bill and gifted us with some local souvenirs! The food was absolutely delicious! Fresh ingredients cooked with love, and the recipes were changing according to our liking. Every morning when we left to explore and late at night when we came back they came out to greet us and see if all is fine. The resort is with amazing views. The lake, sunrise and sunset are gorgeous with a view to 3 biggest stupas with lights on the whole new night. It’s 7-10 minutes drive with a scooter to the nearest stupas and ancient hidden sights. We had many mornings e.g. at Wessagiriya cave complex meditating and resting on smooth rock formations under giant rocks shadows, and watching peacocks’ dancing. All rooms are with A/C and very comfortable beds. There is no water heating (or cooling) so if you don’t demand hot showers but instead prefer refreshing cool showers during the hot days, it will be perfect. Next time we will come back with a bigger family. Thank you so much for everything! 🙏

One of best place we’re visited. Good customer service & rooms excellent! The location is great, walking distance to the mihintale rock temple. The room is very clean, comfortable, spacious and a lovely garden. The family who own it are very friendly and gave us drinks. Mihintale is a nice break from overcrowding of Anudharapura and Dambulla and this hotel is very peaceful. I definitely recommend for everyone! Thank you!

L’habitacio estava molt bé, amplia i els llits grans. El lavabo també adecuat. El propietari excel•lent, molt atent i encantador, nosaltres vam decidir sopar tambe alla i ens van posar un munt de coses. Un arros bonissim (Fried Chicken Rise) i diverses coses mes. L’esmorzar molt complert tambe, varien menjar local amb unes torrades amb mantega i mermelada.

We had an amazing stay at kubura resort and would definitely recommend it to anyone travelling to Anuradhapura. The staff were attentive, friendly, and happy to help with anything. The breakfast was great and we had a delicious selection of Sri Lankan curries for dinner. It was lovely sitting out by the palm trees watching the birds The pool was perfect for a dip after a day of exploring in the sun. Thank you to everyone at kubura resort for the best stay!

The room was basic but modern and spotless! They provided Anuradhapura tour. The itinerary was pre-set and the tuk tuk driver took you to all attractions so I didn’t need to worry about anything. The family also cooked delicious breakfast and dinner. After checkout, the owner dropped me off at the bus station and accompanied me to the bus onboard.

The service was great and the staff was friendly and very helpful. Especially the hotel manager Sha helped us with so many things: suggested good restaurants, assisted with getting a Sri Lankan SIM card and even gave me a ride to a hospital at the weekend, for which I was extremely grateful.
