Located at the Paul Kruger Gate to the Kruger National Park, Kruger Gate Hotel is situated on the banks of the Sabie River. The Kruger Gate Hotel was an excellent stay for us to explore the park's unbelievable wildlife. We spent there 4 nights, and I can only talk superlatives about this place. The staff is really kind, even though you can pre-book safaris, you will always have the option on the day before to change your mind (this is so clever! We clearly overbooked it...). The food is again amazing - they have great buffet for breakfast and dinner. The venues are jaw dropping. And the images, where you take a swim in their pool and meanwhile you see a bunch of elephants, so those imahes are REAL! I counted 8 elephants just under the time I jugged down a beer! The rooms are clean, and even though animal life is amazing - they are well kept outside your room. As a first timer, we really enjoyed the comfort of this hotel and the great safari offering they have on the menu. I wiuld definitely recommend it, and hope to return soon!

Beautiful and tranquil little lodge in a private reserve teeming with wildlife. We had breakfast and dinners at the onsite restaurant and food was bountiful and delicious. Staff were hospitable and warm - they even baked a birthday cake for the celebration of our child. The reserve was family friendly, and we had alot of good sightings of giraffes, zebras and kudus amongst many others.

Situated in Makuleke Contract Park, 10 km from Pafuri Gate, The Outpost & Pel's Post features accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. We chose The Outpost Lodge for an impromptu 30th anniversary getaway. We have always wanted to visit the northernmost part of the Kruger to see how it compares to the rest of the park. The Outpost is situated on a hill overlooking the Luvuvhu River and the view from our room was breath-taking. The contemporary open plan rooms have retractable remote-controlled blinds, that offer uninterrupted views of the river when open. It was indeed a once-in-a-lifetime experience to sleep with no walls between you and the wilderness. On the second night, we were treated to elephants trumpeting just outside our room! The lodge is situated in a private concession. The staff mainly consists of members of the Makuleke tribe. We were treated like royalty and no effort was spared to make our stay a memorable one. It is evident that the staff are extremely well trained, but also that they love what they do. Our room was immaculately clean, the food was 5-star and wherever we went, we were greeted with friendly smiles. The fauna, flora and vistas in this part of the Kruger is by far the most impressive of the whole park. We were fortunate enough to visit both the Lanner Gorge and the Fever Forest on game drives. This is not the area of the Kruger you should go to if you want to see the big five, as you probably won’t, but that said, there is still a decent amount of wildlife to see. We saw elephant, zebra, nyala, impala, baboons, kudu and hippo.

Set in Hoedspruit, 4.9 km from Drakensig Golf Club, Aerotel offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. The experience of sleeping in an airplane was absolutely amazing. I liked that we got to take a tour and explore the plane. The breakfast was amazing.

Situated in Phalaborwa, 26 km from Phalaborwa Gate, Abelana River Lodge features accommodation with a restaurant, free private parking and a bar. Absolutely everything. The property is stunning, the staff the best. The service goes above and beyond. The game drives give you the most meaningful experience in the bush. You may see the big 5 or you may not but it doesn’t matter as you get to live the bush and understand its delicate and complex ecosystem. It was one of the best experiences I have ever had.

Situated within the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve, Ivory Wilderness River Rock Lodge features a viewing deck, lounge and splash pool overlooking the Klaserie River. Had a fantastic stay with my brother for 4 nights. The staff was amazing and the game drives were fantastic. really loved the camp and would highly recommend

Situated in Hoedspruit, within 22 km of Kinyonga Reptile Centre and 47 km of Lissataba Private Game Reserve, Rafiki Bush Lodge provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool and a garden, and... Super nice and family oriented spot. Loved the impeccable spaces and cozy feel of just 4 rooms. Maria and team truly make you feel like you're staying at a (very nice) friends house aka Rafiki.
