Aideen is great. If you're looking for a place that's kind of isolated on your own hill top in the middle of nowhere, yet just up the hill from a small town with a great restaurant, look no further. Casita - Cantinho do Paraíso er staðsett í Vila do Porto á Santa Maria-svæðinu og býður upp á gistirými með aðgangi að heitum potti. It was outstandingly gorgeous and the surroundings were breathtaking.

Casa dos Valentes er staðsett í Santo Espírito. Þetta sumarhús býður upp á ókeypis einkabílastæði, sólarhringsmóttöku og ókeypis WiFi. It was so peaceful and the house had everything we needed. We loved hearing the rural sounds, and the place was so easy to find. We were greeted as we drove up the driveway and check in was seamless. When we opened the door, we were greeted with a loaf of homemade bread, cookies, and jam from the Cooperative Bakery up the street along with milk and a large bottle of water. We cooked breakfast every morning, and when we weren’t out exploring, we enjoyed sitting on the front patio and watching the nearby cows and sheep grazing. And, given the size of the island (and the time of year we visited), we didn’t have any problem driving to Vila do Porto for more restaurant options (it was only 20 minutes away). However, we did enjoy our late morning coffee in one of the bars in the village of Santo Espirito.
