Very good restaurant and wonderful service. Rooms are surprisingly spacious. Castelbel toiletries— a local Portuguese brand. Front desk organized a day trip for us, which was fabulous. The views from this hotel are breathtaking. Breakfast is delicious, lots of local selections and fresh fruit. Perfectly cooked sunny side up eggs. The bar is fantastic, we ate every evening meal on site three days in a row. It was that good, and we are generally picky. We are already talking about coming back again. Linda and Vanessa were two of our favorites.

Excellent, very generous breakfast, mix of local, continental and health focused cuisine . Michelin level restaurant did not disappoint and was quite frankly a great value. Regular bar also a great option. Wine selection excellent. Location very private, guarantees total disconnect from the world , if you want that. Great hiking trails. Excellent spa.

With its own orchard and vineyard, this 4-star hotel is situated 800 metres from Lamego’s centre. Guests at the Lamego can also savour the local cuisine for lunch and dinner. An incredible property. We were just driving through so we only stayed one night, but I would love to return for longer. I think it would make a great base to explore the Douro. The room was spacious and simple. Great linens, lovely bath products. The pool is stunning with a view of the valley. Big, well-appointed fitness center. Gorgeous spa (that I didn't have time to use, sadly.) Fantastic restaurant-- we enjoyed dinner and breakfast, and both were quite good.

We also ended up at Rua de Outeiro in Canelas on our first attempt. The property was extremely peaceful. Great views. Nice lap pool although it wasn't good enough weather during our stay to use it. Delicious breakfast and charming manager. It felt like home from home. Nice communal lounge area.

The staff is very friendly and wonderful. The location of the hotel is in one word impressive. Amidst all types of wineyards, you can enjoy the Pool, tenniscourt or just read a book next to the grapes. Those was worth a trip coming from lissabon.

Excellent service, lovely place, and amazing views of the Douro Valley and of course the beautiful river. The site is immersed in a beautiful garden with peaceful corners and also ... an area with goats and chickens - definitely a special experience. Good breakfast, pleasant restaurant, and attentive service. The room is spacious and comfortable. Spa services (pool, sauna) are included in the price.

Rio Moment’s was amazing. The property was gorgeous, set on the side of a mountain. They treated us like family, going out of their way to make us comfortable. We hiked along the river on their property. So relaxing and beautiful.

Fabulous welcoming by friendly and helpful staff. We were lucky to be proposed a free upgrade to their suite which was an absolutely beautiful accommodation wtih Jacuzzi, Terasse and all. The Douro Suites' garden peaceful garden, library blend perfectly with the stunning river & region itself.

This was the highlight of our trip. We had the most peaceful 3 nights at Quinta de Santa Marinha, and I would go back as soon as I can. The staff were some of the friendliest people I have ever met, and they did everything they could to make our stay incredible. The views from the B&B were breathtaking, the breakfast was delicious, and the pool incredible as well. Close to other vineyards in the area. Would recommend to anyone!!
