This is a fantastic location with some of the more interesting hiking and climbing routes in Norway, near the Jotunheimen Nasjonalpark. We choose the accomodation in the "Swiss chalet" and this allow us to save a lot of money :-) without losing the magnificence of the place and additional services provided by the hotel like for example the very good dinner (one of the best we have in Norway). The Chalet is really beautiful and extremely functional. Clean and full of services, like the shower and the drying room.

Overlooking Lake Øvre Sjodalsvatnet, Bessheim Fjellstue offers an in-house restaurant and accommodation with mountain views and private bathrooms. The Gjende Boat departs 5.5 km away. We stayed in one of the cabins. It was very cosy, clean and spacious and it had everything we needed. The view towards the lake was awesome. Overall, we had a wonderful time at the cabin.

The Skjolden Hotel was the high point of my trip. I was passing through the area and stayed for three nights. I was immediately captivated by the view of the fjord, then stayed for the excellent food from the kitchen and the lovely staff. if I had the time I would have stayed for a week.

The staff is super friendly and helpful, the beer list is amazing and long, dinners are outstanding. This place is literally perfect!

Housed in a building from 1897 in Lom, the historic Fossheim Hotel Lom offers free Wi-Fi and rooms with private bathrooms and cable TV. Lom Stave Church is 100 metres away. Very friendly staff, excellent breakfast, good location, very comfortable beds.
