Attractively situated in the centre of Nagoya, GOLD STAY Nagoya Sakae ゴールドステイ名古屋栄 features free WiFi throughout the property and free bikes. The facilities and our room were very clean. There was a good selection of free amenities as well. We could not hear any noises from the outside which was one of our worries. The staff was extremely nice and attentive; they even gave us four umbrellas on the day we were checking out because of heavy rain. We told them we could not return them and they insisted on giving them to us.

I like the atmosphere of the hotel. It is a bit old but it has charm and character. If you are big fan of antique look and feel of hotel, you will love this place. Plus, the location is actually pretty good, really close to Okazaki park and Okazaki castle. In addition to it, the hotel is close to 2 local train; Aichi loop line and Meitetsu line.

Loved our comfy family room with tatami area and futons. The sento (public bath) was wonderful: really nice natural rock style bath and lovely washing areas. The sento is well used by guests including kids so definitely family friendly. This hotel has so many extras: free late night ramen service (21:30-23:00), free ice cream after bath, free manga library in the lounge. The staff were really pleasant and helpful and the chef at breakfast was especially nice. What a great stay.

The hotel and room feels like brand new, everything is so clean and the bed is comfortable even for 2 adults and a child. The staff is also very helpful. Coin laundry is available although I did not use them. The location is a short walk from Nagoya station with many choices of food and the area is very safe. The Lawson store next to the hotel is really great to grab any snacks and drinks. The shower strength is superb too. Cleaners will leave a fresh set of towels and water at the door if you choose not to make-up the room for the day.

The room was very clean, the beds are super comfy and they have prepared 3 different kinds of pillows ( 1 hard pillow, 1 feather soft pillow and 1 throw pillow) for each bed which made my sleep very comfortable and relaxing since I am used to sleep using 2 pillows. Breakfast has a lot of options. They also have free drinks (limited to one per person) during happy hour. The bed is comfortable. A set of PJs is also provided. The hotel is close to the train station. Hisaya-odori Park is just across. There is a lot to do and eat within walking distance. Very reasonably priced. Requesting for late check-out was a breeze (for a fee of 1000 per hour). Staff is very helpful and accommodating - they even let us use their umbrellas because it was raining when we stayed.
