Our stay at Ampelos was exceptional. The spotless rooms, the gardens, the view of Chora and overall appearance of the hotel are excellent. The port transfer was very much appreciated. The breakfast was superb with the freshest bread, yogurt and eggs. What makes Ampelos exceptional are the hosts Areti and Theo, they make you feel very welcome and genuinely care you are have a good time at the hotel and on the beautiful island of Folegandros. It feels like you are visiting friends.

Set on the edge of the charming main town of Folegandros, within 120 metres from the centre, Kallisti offers a swimming pool with a poolside bar. Everything! Staff is super friendly and helpful! Rooms are comfortable and clean. The Chora is in close walking distance, all restaurants/shops/bars are close by but you are far enough not to be woken up at night by music/crowds. Most hiking paths start in the city centre and therefore easily accessible from the hotel. if you want to take the bus there is a bud stop right next door.

Interiør, furniture, and fixtures are in perfect condition. Convenient location: it is a minute walk from the village square, bus stop, groceries and restaurants. Free transfer from and to the port on arrival and check out was very nice service. The lady at the front desk has been very helpful at explaining options for things to do on the island. And, because she is from the island, you can learn a lot about history, economics, society, and the culture of this wonderful place.
