Newly opened in winter 2012, Alpinhotel Pacheiner is situated on the Gerlitzen Alp at over 1,900 metres above sea level. It was beyond expectations. Location, room, cleanliness, food, friendly staff. And when cloudless sun is added to the price, then your vacation is complete.

The barrier-free eduCARE Hotel in Treffen is a 10-minute walk away from the banks of the Ossiachersee Lake. It offers a restaurant with a garden terrace and free Wi-Fi. The hotel was easy to find--centrally located on the main road. Our room was modern, clean, and comfortable. The air conditioning actually worked, I was so thrilled (the other hotels on our trip had advertised air conditioning that didn't really work after all)!! The AC was fully adjustable in our room, so I sat there on the bed like a penguin that sits under the snow machine in the exhibit at the zoo; it was heaven. The breakfast was SO GOOD. Americans, this place had the crispiest bacon I have ever seen on the European continent. On our way to and from our room, we passed through a game room with foosball and pool tables, so naturally I challenged my husband to a game of pool (I won). There was on-site parking, and the connecting restaurant was also fantastic--we had dinner there. Our room also had a balcony which was nice. When we mentioned to the front desk upon checkout that we were going to the lake on our way out of town, they gave us a coupon so we wouldn't have to pay to go to the public beach.

We came on 10th of May. Tha staff were amazing, the bikes are ready for you even before making chack in and tha view with the pool, atonishing.

Located in the former Benedictine Abbey of Ossiach, dating from the 11th century, this hotel is right on the shore of Lake Ossiach, next to the shipping pier. It was a great place, exceeded our expectations. It is truly a wonderful experience to get a grasp of the past and centuries of history that took place in the same hallways you are walking on. Staff was great and helpful, breakfast super great and overall a great experience

Hotel Kuchlerwirt is located in Treffen, 3 km from Lake Ossiach and the Gerlitzen Ski Area and 8 km from Villach. It offers free WiFi and free garage parking for motorcycles. The breakfast and dinner was really good.

Located close to many swimming lakes, this romantic country hotel is set in the heart of Carinthia, only 3 km outside of the pretty town of Feldkirchen. The Staff, every single one of them, provided us with a TOP service, you can really feel from the first moment the loving care that all of them take of you and your needs. Breakfast was really complet and even if I slept too long one day and arrived a bit late, they took care to refill everything in the Buffet without even asking for it, so I had everything I wanted... and the espresso was great! They are super dog-friendly and provided us with blankets and towels for the dogs, (we traveled with our two doggies) as well as feeding bowls and poop-bags. The pool is simply perfect, and the food "a la carte" is great, and they even provided gluten-free variations when requested even if it was not on the menu. Our room was huge! super comfortable queen bed, great terrace with hammock to enjoy the forest views from the second floor and inside even space for a sofa with table as a small dining/reading area. The fantastic location allowed us to enjoy several lakes and towns within no more than 15-20 minutes distance by car, so we really used our time there to visit a lot of places. 100% recommended.

The modern 4-star Seehotel Hoffmann is centrally located on a beautiful bay on the northeastern shore of Lake Ossiach, only a few steps away from the lake. Free WiFi is provided. Very nice hotel, friendly staff, good breakfast. We arrived with flowers and they gave us a large vase. The hotel hosts theme nights. We got to the evening of Italian cuisine. nice beach with enough space for everyone. The rooms are quiet even though the windows face the road
