Nestled amongst peaceful native bushland, Kaka Retreat Motel, Stewart Island offers spacious modern suites with kitchenette, flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi. Everything! The rooms, the staff, the location, the cleanliness. It was just great.

With panoramic views of the Tasman Sea, The Bay Motel overlooks Halfmoon Bay on Stewart Island. It features a nearby golf course, a free shuttle service and free private parking on site. Lovely owners, really enjoyed our brief stay at The Bay Motel. We did not manage to contact the property for a pick up but somehow they showed up with transport at the pier seems like they do for all customers. It was a cold day and the heater was already on when we got there. Rooms were clean and well equipped. Will be back on my next visit to Stewart Island.

Stewart Island's iconic South Sea Hotel is located on the foreshore, in the centre of town. It is 2 minutes’ walk from the ferry and airline terminals. Location great Meal fantastic and room ok just wish there was kettle and a fridge to keep things cool but overall great.
