Firstly - if you can't live without Wifi, then you'd be best just to stay at home - this is not what Reindeer Lodge is about. If you're after 5 star accommodation, then find somewhere else because staff are not here to be at your personal beck and call. Staff at Reindeer Lodge are amazing - we always felt welcome and part of the family. Our room, although small, was very cosy and clean. To keep the park an authentic experience, there are 2 communal (very clean) toilets, as well as a communal shower and wood fired sauna. When leaving, you are asked to strip your beds fold your bedding and put your bedding and pillows on the lounge to make room turnover quicker for staff. As well as looking after the rooms, staff are also responsible for looking after the reindeer, preparing meals for guests and working at the Saami / Reindeer village at Jukkasjarvi. Staff work long hours and very hard. Breakfast was a really nice Scandinavian style Smorgas, it was great to be able to go in and feed and interact with the reindeer - let them come to you... You can also borrow some cross country skis or snow shoes to go for a walk on the lake. Reindeer Lodge is about a 5-10 minute drive from Jukkasjarvi and a good alternative to the Icehotel. We recommend staying at Reindeer Lodge.

Beautiful location - amazing tranquility of the lake and the view, especially at sunset. Close to Jukkasjärvi and to Esrange Space Center - both worth visiting. Nicely furnished appartment with everything you need.

We loved everything about this place and its surroundings. Great place for both one night stayover or for longer holiday.

Staying at the lodge was a great experience. Both Joakim and Marten are very nice and at hand for any support. The sauna was the cherry on the cake and a great experience to heat it yourself, get warm water for showering from it etc.

This property is absolutely beautiful and in such a remote but stunning setting. Would recommend a car but we had no issues with the roads despite the snowfall. We stayed only one night with our two daughters (4,2) and found everything as we needed. The house itself is beautiful and so thoughtfully decorated. We spent the morning enjoying the snow and taking advantage of the kicksleds and sleds that were available that the kids absolutely loved. Lots of opportunities to spot wildlife too although we unfortunately didn’t spot any local roaming Moose. Look forward to returning. The host was super attentive and was on hand if needed.

Este alojamiento está situado a 22 km de Kiruna y a 35 minutos en auto de Nikkaluokta y ofrece habitaciones con vistas al lago y muebles modernos. The host, Johan, was really nice and hospitable and the location itself was lovely as it was remote and allowed us to gaze up at the aurora without light pollution getting in the way. Unfortunately I believe those were the only two reasons I was not entirely disappointed with my choice.
