With Tsugaike Kogen Ski Area reachable in 9 km, Sakka Sanso features accommodation, a restaurant, a garden, a shared lounge and a bar. cost authentic Japanese hostel. very clean and comfortable. Owners are very helpful! Location is 3min walk from Sakka slope and 1min walk from Hakuba valley bus stop. What I like the most is 1hour private bath time ;) hope to visit again!

Pension Ringo-no Ki is a completely non-smoking property located in Hakuba. Free WiFi access is available in this lodge. There is a hairdryer, free toiletries and slippers on site. Yoshi and his wife are amazing humans, from the homemade breakfast to driving us to the station. Their hospitality is unbeatable. The property felt like we were staying in more of a traditional home. It was extremely clean and well managed. The private onsen was a huge bonus.

A 5-minute drive from Hakuba Happoone Ski Resort, Pension Belnia offers cosy accommodations and free Wi-Fi throughout the property. Belnina locates in a quite convenient spot of Echoland to access shuttle buses to many ski resorts. The host Taka and his wife were really hospitable and friendly, and they also recommended restaurants and coffee shops when being asked, which were all delicious! I truly had a lovely stay there.

A 15-minute drive from Pilatus Ski Resort, chalet-like Nomanomori offers quaint Western rooms. It features a garden with a terrace, free Wi-Fi and a cosy lounge with a fireplace. Delightful cosy b&b with the most friendly, helpful and generous owners. Rooms are not huge but ample for a couple with lovely outlook over the garden. Breakfast is home cooked and delicious, served in a nice dining room with open fireplace nearby. The owners generously offered to serve us a home cooked meal for dinner one evening as we were having difficulty finding an open restaurant. It was delicious. Private bathrooms are small but adequate however they have a great large indoor bath/spa for guests which was so relaxing. Plenty of lovely places to visit, drives, local onsen etc and the owners have lots of local knowledge and information. Really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it.

A 10-minute drive from Hakuba Happo-One Winter Ski Resort, Pension Tomato offers spacious Western-style rooms with a loft area. The pension has a lovely onsen built into the main building we truly love soaking in at the end of an active day on the slopes. It's the perfect way to close the day. The couple who run the Pension are such nice, helpful people. Especially when it comes to organising/interfacing with travel for day trips or even grocery shopping. 100% recommend

A 10-minute walk from Happo One Ski Resort, guests at Log Cottage Epoch can rent out an entire cottage. Each spacious cottage comes with free Wi-Fi and includes a kitchen and a living room. This place was fantastic. Mountain cabin in a distinctly Japanese style. It's not especially walkable but Toshi will shuttle you around the valley, including to Happo One ski resort. Just need to take a taxi if you're trying to get back after dinner time. Private onsen was really nice. Toshi and his wife were wonderful hosts, easily recommend.

Situated a 2-minute walk from the Happo Bus Terminal, the completely non-smoking Ski-Kan features a hot-spring bath and hotel-wide free WiFi. I thought that the lady behind the front desk was a wonderful host and was attentive and committed to providing a great service.

Located in Hakuba in the Nagano region, snowhere ski lodge provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking, as well as access to a hot tub. I like everything about the lodge. The room has its own en suite bath tub and an outside hot bath and balcony. The accomodation also has free breakfast plus they give free shuttle to the ski resort. Chris and Dan are both so friendly and very accomodating. The place is also near Echoland which has a lot of restaurants. It's like home away from home. We will be back for sure next winter!

ペンションヴォルケ is located in Shinano, 32 km from Suzaka City Zoo, 34 km from Jigokudani Monkey Park, and 40 km from Ryuoo Ski Park. The host was a grandma and a grandpa, they were super nice and caring. It made us feel like home, and they made us traditional Japanese breakfast which was very delicious. We will definitely come back next time!

With mountain views, Japan Snowsports is set in Iiyama and has a restaurant, a shared kitchen, bar, garden, sun terrace and barbecue. The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. Very similar to a European chalet holiday with a Japanese feel. Owners and staff were very friendly and attentive and organised everything from transport to lift passes, dinner bookings to serving a delicious breakfast.
