This chalet-style hotel is located in the centre of Zermatt, within 500 metres of Zermatt Train Station and all cable cars. The Weisshorn’s restaurant serves Swiss cuisine and Valais specialities. Rooms offer free Wi-Fi. This hotel was a real surprise. Location is very good, room was very large and the breakfast was excellent. The rooms were a bit outdated, but one would call that retro nowadays. Beds were very comfortable and that's what count.

Basically everything but the highlights were: The included access to the spa, the welcoming and kind receptionist who allowed us to use the facilities the next day even we have the possibility of the check out. The Swiss Lodge is situated in the UNESCO-protected Jungfrau-Aletsch-Bietschhorn area. automated check-in was simple and easy but I wish they bad instructions in english. it is a very simple hotel, by the train station and there are no shops or restaurants nearby. The rooms were very clean and the view was gorgeous.
