you can make pictures without flash. In all the monasteries we discovered that it's sometimes not allowed but without flash it's no real problem, especially if you first buy some candles :-) Some churches are very dark though, so a modern light sensitive camera is really needed in that case.

The room was clean and comfortable. We particularly loved the free tour Giorgi gave us to Gelati monastery and Tskaltubo, he was so knowledgeable and generous with his time.

He also gave us an exciting dive into the local culture. Breakfasts kept us full for a large part of the day. The villa is comfortable and well thought through: equipped with anti-bug nets and ACs in every room. The staff was always eager to help. We felt like at home.
