Super clean, extremely comfortable bed and really friendly and responsive hosts. The place also has a phenomenal view of the cliffs nearby in Velas, as well as Mount Pico. We only stayed one night but it was a great spot and we wished we had more time. The garden was cool and overall had a very laid back vibe. We also appreciated the laundry onsite. The host also allowed us to check in early which was really helpful.

They were really flexible about when to meet us, giving us extra time to see some sights across the island! Excellent English, very kind and friendly. After cramming our family of 4 into 1 room on two previous islands, our little suite (clean, modern, comfortable, kitchenette, spacious bathroom, plenty of towels) was a little slice of heaven. The gorgeous property and amazing views from our balcony - we got takeout to enjoy dinner and breakfast there - took this to the next level. Can’t wait to come back!

Casa dos Lagos was a fantastic stay and exceeded our expectations for view and beauty! The place was cosy, relaxing, and the garden was exceptionally beautiful. The pond, flowers, and view are far more beautiful in person than in the pictures and it was always a joy to eat, sit, and relax outside!

The apartment was the perfect size for one or two people, comfortable bed with nice shower, kitchenette and shared patio. Nicely located on a hill just above Velas, with beautiful views of Costa Sudoeste, Casa Dos Lagos provided a serene experience. Will stay there again! The manager was very kind and checked in to see if all was well after a storm. She was very informative on where to go and where to eat, and was flexible on check out given the late departure of the ferry. Very accommodating!

Beatriz was very friendly and even picked us up at the ferry. She gave us great tips on which places we should visit on Sao Jorge and which hiking routes and restaurants she would recommend. The appartement was decorated/furnished with love as you can already see on the pictures. We really enjoyed our stay there and would highly recommend it!

The owner was very kind to us because we didn't have the car so she picked us up in the evening after the trip by ferry so it was easy and cheap to reach the place! The house was perfect with a complete kitchen where to cook (without a car it is quite difficult to go to the city for dinner, more or less 31 minutes by walking in a street where there are only cars). Everything was perfect during our stay!

The host was great in communicating and leaving keys etc. However there was no wifi and very little information in the room but we did not message to find anything more out ..... it had been a long day! The views are outstanding and the room beautifully furnished.

The set Up of all units is very pleasing and welcoming. small ponds with golden fish, beautiful garden and exceptional view overlooking the ocean and Pico mountain. The host Leonora did the most to accommodate to our needs in an outstanding manner. She was very kind and helpful. It was a great pleasure to stay at Casa dos Lagos, we highly recommend!
