Abundia homestay is located in Unawatuna, a famous tourist destination on the island. It is a calm oasis away from the bustling streets, but conveniently located near the main road when entering Unawatuna from Galle, with Galle city and the ancient fort being just 5 kilometres away. We are also 400 meters from Unawatuna railway station. We cater for both short and long stays, with a common kitchen available for all guests to use as they wish. Delicious homemade breakfast is provided and dinners are also available at your request. As a homestay, one of the many delights of staying with us is our friendly and inclusive nature, we welcome you into our home and ensure you have a restful stay. We can arrange for a tuk tuk to take you to local sights, or if you prefer to relax we have a beautiful swimming pool.

There are two beaches nearby, both within walking distance or a short tuk tuk ride away. Unawatuna beach has a variety of hotels and restaurants beach front with a long crescent shaped beach and an access road from the main road with a good selection of tourist shops and cafes. Surfing is possible on this beach and nearer to the beach swimming is also good. Jungle beach on the other hand has a very quiet beach front with a path through the trees down to the beach from the access road above. There is a lovely stretch of firm sand and due to the sheltered position, the waves are not very high making it good for swimming. There is a small shop on the beach. There is also an adjoining beach with a path along the coastline rocks and an access path down from the Japanese Peace Pagoda.
