Il Genio del Porto is an ancient genius who was the protector fo the whole town. You can find the sculpture of the Genius of the Port o one of the faces of the stele positioned in front of the main entrance of the port. And Mabbonath is the first known (phoenician) name of this town. Here you can stay in a healthy environment, in comfortable rooms with comfortable bathrooms and quality furnishings. I have created a breakfast room that will help you socialize and will remain open all day. You will find biscuits, tea and infusions to spend a few minutes of relax between a walk and a visit to museums or monuments. The WIFI is fast and all the rooms are air conditioned. Welcome to Palermo, the capital of the largest island in the Mediterranean sea. I am a journalist and I have worked for the major Italian newspapers. I am also an army officer, now retired. Now I have decided to follow my passion which is travel, and I am engaged in this sector by completely renovating a large apartment in the center of the city. Having guests like you is a great pleasure for me, I often talk with you because I am anxious to know some details of your city of origin, your habits, your customs. At the same time I am available every day to give you all the information you need to make your dream of a holiday in Sicily the best. I love cooking, especially Italian and Sicilian, but also many international recipes and in my (little) free time I practice the field target, a target shooting sport that takes me around the world for international competitions together with the Italian national team ! Also, and you will notice it, I love the sea and ships and I enjoy spending time reading and studying the history of the Second World War. I am also a passionate model maker.

We are in the center of the town which, in Palermo, coincides with the port area. So if you come with a ferry or have to take a ship to the smaller islands, this is the place. In addition, the airport shuttle stop is at two-minute walk from our b & b. From here you can reach all the major points of interest directly by walking and, if you want to use public transport, we are in the city center, there is no better place.
