So what's a British lass, born in Liverpool and brought up in North Wales, doing living in Italy? Most people assume I fell in love with an Italian and followed my heart. Wrong! In reality, when a long relationship with my English partner ended, I decided on a major life change. Italy would be my new home! How happy I am that I made that choice! I had studied Italian at university in Bath so this made the move less scary. Bellagio, Lake Como, was my first home - in this property, Casa Bellagina. Today I live in the olive groves near Rome. I work in the travel industry, accompanying groups around this amazing country. It is a dream job. My favourite Italian cities are Venice and Rome. My favourite cuisine is Sicilian, my favourite wine, Amarone. Italy is so diverse. There is always something new to discover and my own travel wish list gets longer not shorter! My latest passion is cycling. What a beautiful way to see the countryside and exercise at the same time! I also enjoy walking, skiing, swimming and yoga. I love to keep busy, positive and learning. Bellagio comprises many small hamlets. My home is in the residents’ favourite - Visgnola. It's a quaint neighbourhood with great amenities. You’ll love the feeling that you are living like a local in an authentic village. My home is 2km above the lakefront and Bellagio’s centre. Bellagio has a lovely variety of shops and restaurants. Boats and ferries help you explore the lakeside towns. Then, at the end of a busy day, there’s nothing better than being able to put your feet up in a comfy home. It’s impossible not to fall in love with Bellagio, known as the ‘pearl of Lake Como’. Its unique appeal comes from its special location, lush gardens and sublime vistas. Be warned! Bellagio will seduce you, whoever you are! Photographer’s paradise. Globetrotter's gem. Writer’s retreat. Hiker’s heaven. It's got something for everyone. Casa Bellagina is a 5-minute drive or a 25-minute walk from the lakefront. The walk home is uphill so you'll earn that glass of wine or chilled beer! A car is helpful and recommended but not essential, especially if you enjoy walking. There is a big, free parking area 30 metres from my home. Although I offer one-night stays, I encourage you to stay longer.
