Set in Battambang, 400 metres from Colonial Buildings, The Real Place Hostel offers air-conditioned accommodation and a bar. I can't believe this place goes for like $2-3 a night. I'm not saying it's the most amazing spot, but it's incredible value, especially if you're just visiting Battambang for 1-2 days. The owner speakers great English as well as French, and perhaps more languages. He sets up full and half day tours for $9 and $6 respectively which takes you to all the main spots and allows you to meet other people while in Battambang. Location is pretty central to things in Battambang (other a big town).

Really liked the hotel concept - you can have your own privacy in a small and single room while sharing an hostel. The hostel was also very clean and cute. I extended my stay because I felt really comfortable 😊 I recommend.

Featuring a garden, terrace, bar and free WiFi, Por Chey Hostel is set in Battambang, 1.1 km from Battambang Museum and 1.3 km from Colonial Buildings. the staff were lovely and super helpful especially with transport to our next stop. really clean bathrooms and nice beds, such good value for money!
