The female-only property is close to several noted attractions, around 1.2 km from Kyoto International Manga Museum and around 1.3 km from Heian Shrine. Kiyomizu-dera Temple is 1.8 km from the hostel. Convenient, safe, clean and comfortable. I think it is superb. Good space if stays two.

The breakfast is great(tons of fruits, which is a rarity in Japan) and makes this place great value. Very communal atmosphere but also plenty of privacy if you prefer it. The staff is always around to help you with anything.

Offering rooms in a traditional Japanese-style building, Guesthouse ITOYA Kyoto is a 7-minute walk from the Horikawa Imadegawa Bus Station. Imadegawa Train Station is a 17-minute walk away. Free Wi-Fi is available in all areas of the building. Owner was very helpful and enthusiastic, always making sure that we were comfortable... even with things like issues with the washing machine, he was very attentive and helped until the very end.. bus stops very close to the accomodation so most of the sites were very easy to visit, some being walking distance like kinkakuji, imperial palace, and nijou castle.. definitely would recommend and return again.

It is housed in a 100-year-old traditional building. The staff were the best! Super friendly, helpful, nice… they even thought me how to make matcha correctly! We loved the location. It's in a beautiful valley of the Kyoto prefecture. Far away from hectic city. The perfect place to reflect and do some daytrips (by car). Make sure to taste the chef's menu (reservation required).
