The train from Harry Potter passes right under the window. The kitchen is well equipped, there are plenty of burners, pots, plates and cutlery. Plus a coffee brewer. Behind the railroad crossing (2 minutes from the house) is a beautiful view of the mountains and the lake. I would definitely recommend.

We stayed for a week and had plenty of time to explore the local museum (you have to do the roundhouse tour), the Isle of Whithorn, the cliffs with the singing seals, Wigtown, the beach at Garlieston... all on foot and by public bus.
