Set in Mayrhofen, Backyard Mountain Hostel has a garden, shared lounge, terrace, and free WiFi throughout the property. Boasting a concierge service, this property also provides guests with a barbecue. The accommodation offers evening entertainment and a shared kitchen. The owners were very accommodating and they have put a lot of effort into creating a great hostel with a great vibe. The views we woke up to were mind-blowing. The location is so picturesque. We were a large group who booked last minute and we were really well received when we turned up late at night. The rooms were well fitted out. We were all really pleased with the rooms and facilities. Breakfast was great for the price with plenty of options. It will be our go to place to stop at in future for sure.

Contiki Haus Schöneck 3 stars

Hopfgarten im Brixental

In winter the accommodation is an ideal location for skiing, snowboarding & paragliding. The hostel offers a ski-pass sales point and free shuttles to and from the accommodation – perfect location for groups. Staff were honestly fantastic - they tried so so hard to accomodate the guests. There was an igloo party one night at the resort (nothing to do with the hostel) and the girl on reception arranged a coach off her own back so the guests could go (as it was hard to get home from) - genuinely fantastic effort. If the bar was just a little quiet the staff often went and had a beer with the guests etc so they felt accommodated. Breakfast was fantastic - really good buffet with hot and cold options - staff were attentive and kept it topped up, food was really well cooked. Location was pretty good - its around a 5 minute drive from the ski resort, and they put shuttles/coaches on morning and night. Bear in mind the prices you pay for accom right at the slopes I really cant complain at all its a great concept. The only thing I could mybe mention location wise is there's not much in the nearby (20 mins walk) town of Hopfgarten - places to eat, and apres ski bars in the town and coming off the slopes, but not really anywhere to drink after about 8pm, (except the hostel itself) unless you get a taxi to the next town Westendorf, which isn't walking distance and was around 30 EUR taxi. The whole place was absolutely spotless - the staff/managers certainly appeared to take a real pride in the place - and why not its lovely. Overall thanks very much guys, had a fantastic time, you were brilliant.

The property is around 19 km from Museum of Füssen, 19 km from Old Monastery St. Mang and 19 km from Staatsgalerie im Hohen Schloss. The accommodation offers a shared kitchen and free WiFi. Well organised. On the door was a phone to call. Wei then gave me instructions how to enter the place. I found my room. There were several other rooms in this house, but I was the only guest. There was a large kitchen, dining room, TV room and even a swimming pool outside. Oh yeah. Wifi worked well.
