The Gaestehaus is an excellent address for family looking to stay relatively cheap, the room was clean and spacious enough for 2adults and 2 teens, bedsheets and towels can be provided for extra fees. Breakfast was good. Free parking.

Featuring numerous sports facilities, this hostel in Obertraun enjoys a scenic location between Lake Hallstatt and the Dachstein range. It also has an outdoor pool and a spa area. The food was great value! The vibe around the place was very relaxed and the staff were able to accommodate our needs for a fee e.g. laundry after a week of cycling. Very comfortable rooms. We were reluctant to stay in the nearby campsites due to negative reviews. That left us with very few options. This was the next cheapest place and ee experienced no negativity here what so ever.

Located at the foot of the Dachstein Mountain, Jutel Obertraun is 4 km from Lake Hallstatt. Upon arrival it seemed like there was some confusion in terms of the booking. Regardless of that, they proceeded to check us in.
