Amazing, funny and caring owner! If you want local advice don't hesitate to ask. Ask her for the Mango Lady, the Mango Lady has the best Mango in HCM. On the rooftop you can relax or also work. I spent some time working on the rooftop and if you don't mind people coming by or some music in the evening, it also works out. It's unfortunate that I was only able to stay 3 days. I will visit again for sure. Additionally if you love food, there is a great restaurant on the ground floor.

There are also a nice selection of complementary goodies for you to take. We stayed in the private Double Room. The room is air conditioned and has a nice balcony. It certainly exceed my expectations for the price we paid! Great value!

I firstly chose it for the distance from the airport and the cheap price but once I arrived I was welcomed with such a beautiful peaceful energy and good part of the money goes to sustain the community, kind of charity, for the Buddhist community. You can feel the peace and the welcoming space, the woman who runs it is the sweetest person ever, she hugged me when she showed me the room. We had tea, cha cha lesson with her and some friends who came over to visit. So much more than just a place to sleep. Highly recommended

The room was good. Got towels, toothbrush, shampoo, soap... that was very good. Other than a stained blanket, which was changed for us, everything was great.

    Great location for a budget hotel, staff were lovely but English language was an issue. I curtailed my stay after 2 nights because there was no safebox, the staff were very apologetic but travelling with cash, cards, tablet I need the security of a safebox.

    It's no 5 star hotel but offers fantastic value for your money. Comparable to decent budget hotel at hostel prices. Great location. Staff are kind and friendly and breakfast is decent even if it lacks variety. No elevator but luggage can be lifted via motorized cable. Rooftop patio is an interesting space but would be better if there were an electrical outlet, a vending machine or something, as it is now its hard to justify the trip up so many stairs. Highly recommend for a budget conscious tourist!

    The hotel is in a great location, in an area full of hostels and backpackers. The hotel is very clean, and the staff was very helpful with everything, from booking daily tours to asking me if I needed anything. One day I felt sick and they offered me some fruits which was really nice. The facilities are really good and I overall really recommend it.

    The host is really friendly and very accommodating. The location is clean and the dorms have curtains. For the ridiculously cheap price you can't go wrong. There is a strong air con and additional fans, and lockable boxes for the bags under the beds. The water in the shower was hot and the hostel is in a great location.

    Right in the centre of things at 90 Le Lai and easy to find, 9 Hostel has everything the cheapskate backpacker looks for. Strong WiFi and aircon and no broken facilities. Your new go to in HCMC!

    The breakfast was not included but the banh mi served by the hostel were cheap and really good. The hostel also organizes day trips to the Mekong, Cu Chi tunnels, etc, very practical when you don't have much time. Beds confortable, wifi ok, great location.
