First things first: this is a welcoming place. I enjoyed my short time at Kotohira a lot and a huge reason for that was the friendly and relaxed atmosphere at the guesthouse. The host (heart and soul of this traditional house in central location) is a bubbly and passionate traveller himself that has seen so many places in Japan and around the world. He is really interested in your own experiences while you travel in the region and he can give you a lot of recommendations. Even though this guest house is in the north of Shikoku, he provided me with travel and commuting advices for Hokkaido. And: I loved the traditional house in central but quiet location. My roomy female dormitory (for 2 people) was lovely decorated. It felt a bit like in a treasure museum. The bath facilities are modern and the kitchen is well equipped (free coffee). So, if you wanna stay in a friendly place where you can recharge travel energy and get freshly inspired, pick this guest house.

Very close to the 1300steps temple...😄 Very strange location..it's a building of the 50s renovated in very minimal and modern ways...strange but cool!

The place is really comfortable, clean and the facility is nice. Perfect place to rest especially if you are on your pilgrimage. The owner are friendly and welcoming the guest warmly. Thank you for the great hospitality.
