Clearly the owner is a person of sophistication without being ostentatious. Really was very easy to get to town on foot. The owner incredibly helpful and responsive. Next time I come to Detmold I would definitely look here first. I was there in the winter and it felt snug and safe. I can see it being great in the summer too. Cannot rate this highly enough.

There was a (common) kitchen with basic equipment. The windows had blinds, so it was possible to darken the room very efficiently. Lots of sockets to charge devices. The plastic mat for wet shoes was a really nice touch.
