Hostel Franz Ferdinand

I have to say that I immensly enjoyed my stay at this hostel during my time in Sarajevo. I could not have had a better experience as it met every expectation I had; it was thankfully affordable, inviting, clean, and quiet (and there's also a kitchen). The staff here are some of the most wonderful people I have met and are incredibly kind and helpful, they genuinely went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and welcome at all times. I enjoyed my stay here so much that I extended my trip for several days!! I have only amazing things to say about Amra, Alisa, and Mina who were such lovely and kind women who staffed the front desk and patiently answered all of my questions about the city and organized my scheduling. The caretaker who I spoke with, Mira, was also so incredibly sweet and thoughtful, and she always worked very hard to keep everything clean and orderly! Riad was another great male staff member who recommended the best sites and restaurants to visit during my stay. If I come back to Sarajevo, I will be sure to return here, the people who work at this hostel made it such a wonderful experience for me, they were so warm and considerate -- I hope the owner knows how lucky he is to have them there! I have only lovely things to say about my stay at this hostel and I hope I am fortunate to meet everyone there again one day. Thank you! ❤
The Good Place Hostel

Best Hostel stay I ever had. The owner (Mister Igor) is a very cool person. If you need help, guidance or a piece of wisdom he will be there for you. I have to mention the beds too: Sleeping in them feels like slowly sinking into the most comfortable cloud of warmth and cosiness. (They are really good) The location of the hostel couldn’t be any better. If you are ever lucky enough to visit Sarajevo, The Good Place Hostel is more than a Good Place to stay at - it’s the best!

Great ambiance! The people were awesome (staff + travellers), the hostel was clean and well maintained, there's even draft beer on tap! Amazing location and strong WiFi. The host is a solid guy as well, who knows the best places for good quality cheap food, bars to hang out after touristing, and all the things to see around. 5 stars all around!

Perfect spot for solo travelers. Fantastic place to meet other people with whom you can hang around the city. Location is quite but also near the center. I had an issue with my room but the owner made generous adjustments that were really satisfactory.

The hosts reply within minutes also to special requests and so I could check in early on a rainy day without any problem. They are really welcoming and communicative. If you have any questions the hosts are there for you and it feels a bit like home. I was very happy with the hygiene even in the shared bathrooms. The location is super central to all the beautiful museums and the bazar… Special plus point is the beautiful wooden parquett floor.

Igor is a really cool host, the place is very friendly, it’s so clean and fresh, perfect location, even a “indoor” balcony where you can sit watch people walk on the street. There’s small mirrors in each bed for your morning routine, there’s small pockets for your important belongings. The bed are comfortable and you create your own space with curtains. Highly recommended!

Got locker, got TV, got AC, got towel and the beds were not the bunk beds, they're all single bed. So you won't easily get disturb while sleeping. The toilet and bathroom are inside the room. It feels like a hotel instead of hostel. And miss Amra the receptionist was also very helpful and can speak english very well. And the location was not that far from the old town and other important city attractions.
