The lodging is in the ground floor of a carefully modernized and upgraded house in the center of Gouveia. The host was completely fluent in English and Portuguese, and answered lots of questions about the town and surrounding area. The room was large and quiet, with a large spotless bath. Breakfast was a nice selection of fresh foods.

만테이가스(Manteigas) 중심부에 위치한 Casa D’Avenida는 새롭게 리모델링된 가족 주택이며, 세라 다 에스트렐라 자연공원(Serra da Estrela Natural Park) 내에 자리해 있습니다. 숙소에 우아하게 꾸며진 더블룸 4개가 마련되어 있습니다. 모든 객실은 에어컨, 평면 TV 및 전용 욕실을 갖추고 있습니다. The room had a comfy bed and a nice little balcony with mountain view (due to very bad weather we couldn't use it, unfortunately). Downstairs there is a nice seating area with an oven which we used to get dry and warm up after some very rainy hikes. The guest house is located right at the little stream flowing through Manteigas, so restaurants and shops are right around the corner. (We recommend Infusao, just a couple of steps up the stream from the guest house.) The breakfast was amazing and very extensive, even when only us two were left at the hotel. Best thing: we could pack bread etc for lunch, tea and coffee were always available downstairs, as was the amazing home-made cake. We were looking forward to this after every hike.

Located in the Natural Park of Serra da Estrela, this 19th century building of granite stone offers traditional rooms with balconies. everything was amazing! dreamed location! very nice and clean room with the best view of The Valley. the staff were very attentive and helpful

Located at the foot of the Serra da Estrela mountain range, in the town of Manteigas, this hotel offers elegant rooms with free Wi-Fi. Free parking is possible on site. Great owner. She was proud of her lodging and it showed. Fresh cheeses and marmalades for breakfast

Very clean and not dated, kitchen was really cute and had everything we needed and all clean. Very rustic but not old/smelly/dated decoration, everything felt comfortable. Totally recommend it! Located on the foot of the Serra da Estrela Natural Park near the village of Unhais da Serra, Quinta da Vargem offers a scenic view of the landscape and access to an outdoor pool plus a tennis court. A very unique, chic and elegant place. An oasis of nature,calmness and class. The greatness and cleanness of the house it’s a 10*. And this wouldn’t be so perfect without the warmth and kindness of the host Margarita. This feels like going back home. Perfect place for anybody.
