Everyday the scenery changes: We had a big storm while we were there, and the waterfalls doubled in size. It is in a great location for walking, being at the beginning of the pr3 lakes walk, and in the middle of the west coast walk pr1 and 2. The apartment itself is well organised and set out for your needs. kitchen dining and lounge space all with the view over the sea. While we were there because of the rain and the storm it was difficult to dry clothing, but our lovely hostess Andrea dried our clothes in her drier - giving us an opportunity to meet her and the family. Such lovely hosts! Very highly recommend this amazing place. We hope to return very soon!

The breakfast was delicious and adorable (brought picnic basket style), the bed was very comfortable and the room was clean and decorated nicely. Plus we could sit on the patio and eat and have some ocean views during sunrise. The hosts are so kind and helpful and gave us great restaurant recommendations. They also did our laundry for us (this isn’t a typical service they offer but kindly offered it for us!). It’s close to a small market and a yummy pizza place. Will definitely be staying again when we return to Flores :)

The Santa Cruz das Flores Airport is 18 km away. Excellent location for exploring the island. Apartment is well equipped (especially kitchen). Very helpful staff. I like focus on environment and sustainability.

The house has a unique history and the objects each tell their own stories...David the host is super skilled and made himself many of the decoration, or he can tell you where each piece comes from - that in itself will make you travel! He is very generous and gives a lot of tips, advice and will make you feel at home in Casa dos Botes! I will for sure be back in this little paradise!
