We enjoyed the quiet countryside where Quinta de Vale Escuro is located and the beautiful property. We also enjoyed the swimming pool each afternoon. Our hosts were very accommodating, despite our language challenges. Thank goodness for Google Translate! One last note - our previous accommodation was canceled by the host due to illness, and this booking was accepted with only one hour notice. We are very grateful for that!

Surrounded by cultivated land, trees and the Ceira River, Quintal De Alem Do Ribeiro is located in Ceira dos Vales, Lousã. The grounds and the property are so interesting and well maintained. Our host was very accommodating, and made our stay a wonderful experience. We hope to return someday !

Luisa was able to accommodate my unpredictable arrival time (plane, trains etc!) and was a very helpful host. I was only sad that I did not have the time to use the delightful shaded balcony with its comfy seats etc.
