Lovely setting in a beautiful homestay environment. It was very peaceful sitting in their beautiful garden, and the orchestra of frogs in the evening was a delight. The rooms were comfortable and spotless. Dimu and his wife were so genuine and lovely, and the curries were delicious. Dimu organised a safari tour with Sumudu as our guide. Sumudu's knowledge and respect for the animals was very much appreciated. We saw many wild elephants, Sambur deer (very rare), deer, wild boar, golden jackals, Buffalo, crocodiles, peacocks, monitor lizards, mongoose and many beautiful birds. One of the highlights of our trip! Thanks for an amazing stay, Dimu!

Boasting garden views, Italiano Safari House provides accommodation with terrace, around 14 km from Udawalawe National Park. The room was really nice and clean. The breakfast was great! Everything went well and easy with the hotel. We booked a room for 3 people and then we also booked the safari through the hotel and it was super smooth. We also got the breakfast after the safari very thankful for that. The location is a bit away from everything but for us that was not a problem.

Located in Udawalawe, 10 km from Udawalawe National Park, Forest Edge Safari Villa provides air-conditioned rooms and a garden. We loved everything at this stay. The host really tries to accommodate every request. My spouse had her birthday, and he helped me organize a surprise safari. The villa is amazing, super well decorated and everything is clean and tidy. You wake up with a view right into the forest. Also always important for me: the bathroom. Great warm shower!

Set in Udawalawe, 16 km from Udawalawe National Park, Hasthi Safari Cottage features accommodation with a hot tub, spa facilities and wellness packages. Couldn’t recommend this place any higher. Hasthi the host is incredible. His attention to detail, care for his visitors and cooking were unbelievable. He organised a car to get us there from the airport, and even drove us personally to our next destination. He goes out of his way like nothing I’ve experienced before. Breakfast and dinner were delicious. The safari driver he organised (his friend) was also amazing. Would only have loved to have stayed longer.
