Very homely, room was large and clean with good airconditioning. The host was super nice, helpful and friendly, always around to offer help. His wife makes the most delicious home made Jaffna food, try the mutton and crab curry. The place is on a very quiet street, however, it was easy to get a tuk tuk in and out of town or to any place of interest.

Shade over the tent with fan inside kept it cool during the day. You can pay for breakfast, dinner and filtered water. You can use their fridge. Host and his mum is always quick to reply and helpful! Beach is wide with clear waters. Far away from the touristy places. You can experience how local people live on this untouched village island life.

The Flamingo Villa's spot-on location in the city center, just a 2-minute stroll from the Railway station, is a winner. The staff were top-notch, well-trained, and really helpful. The WiFi signal can be a bit wobbly, but it doesn't really cramp your stay.

The staff was really friendly, the lady working there helped us with everything and was very considerate. There are a lot of sitting areas where I could study and not be bothered by the noise from the city. We ended up staying longer than our booking and this was not a problem.
