Spotless, modern apartment, very close to Alvor's restaurant/shopping/nightlife scene, and yet very quiet and peaceful. Centrally located with regards to beaches and nearby towns. We can't say enough about how helpful Jim (the owner) was.

Spotless clean and a few nice touches with decoration / kitchen area. Patio doors Litreally opened onto street but u could put shutters down at night so next to no noise. we actually put chairs outside to enjoy our morning coffee listening/ watching the river/ restaurants getting deliveries for the days business.

We found out this is an independant room and acually it was a good surprise, as we thought we would be sharing the flat with the host. Susana is a sweet person - we have well communicated before our arrival, during our stay and the day we left. She was available in case we needed someting. For instance, I asked for an iron, she was nice enough to buy a brand new one plus an ironboard, and to leave if in front of our door. I can tell, this has been highly appreciated. Alvor is a very charming village, we loved the different restaurants and boutiques nearby. It's 10-mn driving from Praia da Rocha, which was ideally located to attend the festival Afronation. About the room: it was perfectly clean, beds were comfy, we used both the fridge and the microwave, and also the cutleries/dishes. In the bathroom, several towels and shower gel are furnished. An hairdryer is also at your disposal. I have no hesitation in recommending that place.
