The staff was very friendly. Moreover, since this accommodation is connected to a lake, you can observe various animals such as birds, reptiles, amphibians, and small mammals. The facilities are clean and everything is satisfactory. I would like to stay here again next time I travel to Sigiriya.

Simply put: fantastic rooms in a great location with an incredible host at an unbeatable value. The rooms are big and spotless, the bathrooms are modern and tiled, there's a charming little patch of jungle to relax in, and the location is ideal for exploring the cultural triangle: an ten minute tuktuk ride North of Dambulla and a short ride from Sigiriya while remaining within reasonable distance of Pollanaruwa and the national parks. What really sets the place apart, though, is the hospitality of the host Nuwan, and his attention to detail. He really goes above and beyond to make sure you are, as he says, 100% happy - from complimentary tuktuk pickup in Dambulla to flower strewn beds upon arrival, to high quality no pressure recommendations for everything, to providing scooter rental, to fresh home grown juice just when you need it, he is an absolutely first rate host. Don't hesitate - this is the spot!

Roy has created the most amazing hostel in Sigiryia. Located in a beautiful, serene, lush setting amoung rice paddies, the Villa is immaculately clean and maintained. Unique, spacious dorms with comfortable beds and thoughtfully designed bathrooms. Common areas that bring people together and promote a community of like-minded travellers. Roy and his staff lead, and can help arrange, a variety of activities. Food offerings are fresh and delicious, with a set family dinner every evening. Be sure to join one of Ray’s cooking classes to learn all his secrets. I cannot say enough about Roy’s Villa, it will bring me back to Sri Lanka.
