A good location for a hassle-free getaway in Urzelina, Casa d'Avó Guesthouse and Apartment is a farm stay surrounded by views of the mountain. Great location only 6 minutes from the airport. Clean and spacious room with a view of Pico from my window. They let me check in early (at 9:30am when my flight got in!) and my room was already ready, which was wonderful. Also helped with getting a taxi to take me to the beginning of my hike. Wish I could have stayed an extra day to enjoy it all, but it was beautiful!

Set in Velas, Casa dos Rui´s offers accommodation with seating area. Boasting a 24-hour front desk, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. We had a very nice time at the home of Ruis, and we only wish we could stay longer. The house is very clean, the room we booked comes with a nice private bathroom, and we could also use the kitchen. The hosts waited for us at the port, as our boat was late, explained the most beautiful points on the island, and helped with our car rental, and found a taxi for the faja hike we did one day. In the evening we had very nice conversations with Rui the uncle, while listening to the most fantastic cries of the cagarro birds flying above our heads and the nearby rock - it is one of the most memorable things from this island. The house is 15-ish minutes walk to the center of Velas, as well a big supermarket. The whole town is very safe and pleasant. The island is very beautiful, with some dramatic scenery, and our most honest advice would be to stay longer on Sao Jorge, if possible. The faja hike is one of the most pleasant and enjoyable hikes we have done.

Quinta Do Canavial is located in São Jorge Island and features sweeping views over the green areas of the island and of the Atlantic Ocean. The unit includes an outdoor swimming pool and a restaurant.... Amazing view of the ocean and cliffs. Tables scattered throughout the property for a secluded breakfast surrounded by cool plants a flowers. Staff was soooo awesome. They heard we were leaving early and would miss breakfast and they packed us lunch baggies to eat in the road. Amazing place I hope to come back

Perched on the mountains of São Jorge Island, Cantinho offers a furnished terrace with an infinity pool and a hot tub. It offers luxurious, air-conditioned apartments with a private patio. The 2 bedroom apartment was spacious and clean. The large sliding glass doors allowed for exceptional views looking over Velas and the surrounding mountains from every room. Breakfast was the typical buffet style. All in all This a great place to stay in São Jorge.

Residência Livramento is offering accommodation in Velas. Among the facilities at this property are a housekeeping service and private check-in and check-out, along with free WiFi throughout the... The room was a short walk to anything in town. There’s also cafe with one of the better menu offerings in town right next to the hotel. My favourite amenity was the room’s large balcony with a great view of Pico. The staff is friendly and helpful. I asked lots of questions.
