Set at 2,225 metres above sea level, Berghaus Männlichen offers a sun terrace with great views of the Swiss Alps, a self-service restaurant, and a children’s playground. The place and the views are phenomenal. As the cable cars stop at 5 PM, there is only you and a few other hotel guests left. Now the mountains are yours to enjoy in its serene setting. This is especially precious for a region as popular and otherwise packed with tourists as Lauterbrunnen / Jungfraujoch. For a mountiain lodge, the accomodation is still very comfortable, clean and well equipped. This was my favorite place to stay in Switzerland.

On a cliffside at 1650 meters height in the Bernese Oberland Alps, Mürren is a secret that has been coveted for decades by adventurers from all around the world. friendly warm-hearted atmosphere, family run hotel. wonderfully decorated with a love for details (room and rest of the hotel). exceptional breakfast (biggest choice of everything: all types of milk, bread, cheese, fruit, eggs, jam, juices, etc).

The Alpenblick hotel is a typical, quiet and small Swiss Chalet hotel in Mürren, offering superb views of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau mountains. Firstly, the location was pretty much ideal. As it was near the main train station that connects to Lauterbrunnen and/or Interlaken, you need only walk no more than a hundred paces over. We were able to leave the hotel mere minutes before the train departed with full confidence that we would arrive with time to spare. Secondly, the hosts Thomas and Jeannette were excellent. From our communication before the trip to our actual stay, they were warm and welcoming. It's always nice to have someone welcoming you back and asking about your day in a non-intrusive way. Their genuinity really made our stay that much better. Lastly, the rooms, breakfast, WiFi, and other facilities are all pretty decent. They definitely punch above the weight (price) class. Breakfast was great too. Especially love their pretzel croissant (laugencroissant).

This historic Swiss mountain cottage in Gimmelwald can be found next to the cable car connecting the village of Stechelberg to the Schilthorn summit. This place is a state of mind. Punct! :)
