I recently had the pleasure of staying at A'MAR by Alojamento Ideal, and my experience was nothing short of fantastic. - Pedro, Isabel and the kids are the most nicest host, you could imagine. On our arrival there were fresh fruits in the fridge and the family brought us two "Welcome beers" and a cake. - The communication with the host was super, always available and sometimes Pedro even had a few recommendations what events are going on in town. - The pool was always clean and had a nice, chilly temperature. We got extra towels for the pool and beach. There were two canvas chairs for us to relax at the pool. - The furniture, kitchen and bathroom felt brand new and every kitchen gadget was working perfectly fine. - The route to the Sea was around 5 min per feet with a lot of nice little restaurants on the way/at the beach. A lot of mini mercados and supermarkets are just around the corner. - The apartment and neighborhood are mainly quiet and you can perfectly rest your mind. - A little TV with the whole tv program. - Rain shower

reservamos una habitación cuádruple, super cómoda, con un entrepiso para 2 camas y el resto de las camas y baño en Planta baja. Tenia balcón para tender la ropa... y una cocina hermosamente equipada para compartir. Un baño completo. Fue uno de los mas lindos alojamientos del Camino de Santiago.

The host was very nice and helpful. There is a well equipped kitchen with a washing machine. You can dry your clothes on the terrace. There are groceries and restaurants nearby.

As a solo. traveller on a budget I thought the hotel offered excellent value. For those walking the Camino it is only five minutes off the trail and easy to find. The metro is also only 5 minutes making it a great location if you want an inexpensive way to Porto or the Airport. The husband and wife ( I’m assuming married) were genuinely kind and the room was comfortable and spotless. There is also an excellent supermarket right next door. For the price, this nice little hotel definitely deserves a 10!

The owner was really friendly and lives nearby, used to be his family home and now it’s this pension. They left us a bottle of water in the room which was really kind. It’s a really quiet area, but not far from the town
