Everything was perfect : the bed was incredibly comfortable, the room is spacious and well equipped (microwave, kettle, mini fridge), the bathroom was recent and clean, the common parts (kitchen and living room) are very practical. There was even a welcome kit with crackers and tea/coffee :) Last but not least : the hostesses are so kind, and I was able to leave my luggage at the reception before check-in!

Located in a quiet rural area (within a cork tree plantation) yet only a few minutes drive from Evora, one of the most attractive cities in Portugal. This is one of the few places we have found to stay where you can relax totally knowing that if you have any queries or requests the hosts Monique and Wim, who speak excellent English and are a mine of local information, will be at your service. The rooms are large and well equiped and the site has an excellent swimming pool, covered car parking and lovely gardens where you are free to roam at will. You need to like animals as you will soon be approached by three large, but very friendly dogs. We were lucky to have the excellent and entertaining company of fellow guests from Portugal and New Zealand.

We absolutely loved our stay at Casa do Escritor. The location is great, you can easily access the centre of Evora while also having the garden and pool at your disposal. The property is gorgeous and the rooms are charming and clean (the towels are insanely fluffy) and the bed is very confortable. But what really makes this place stand out is Victor, the amazing host - he is extremely helpful, attentive, full of great stories and recommendations and he truly made our stay in Evora feel very special. We would definitely come back.
